Summer ferries to Isle of Skye are available and there is excellent climbing, fishing and mountain biking as well as walking locally. For an alternative day out, Plockton is easily accessible and offers boat trips to observe the seal colonies and there are also many excellent sea food restaurants all serving locally caught fish. Wildlife can be seen from the holiday house including otters and porpoises. Shop ½ mile.. 3 steps to entrance. All on the Ground Floor: Living room: Freeview TV, Multi-Fuel Burner Dining room. Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. We were very happy with 'no amenities'. The dining room set-up was 'different' but we got used to that. The view from the house and gardens was wonderful and there was ample outside seating both back and front of the house. An excellent base for outdoors enthusiasts. Some may find the lack of local amenities a drawback. Fuel is available nearby at Shiel Bridge and Inverinate, but for a wide range of food you need to go to Kyle of Lochalsh (17 miles). There was occasional traffic noise from forestry vehicles using the track which runs behind the cottage, but otherwise this is a peaceful spot.
