Oasis Beach Motel

Oasis Beach Motel

10/10 Excellent
"We have stayed here before and loved it, which is why we came back for a second time, booking 4 units with our group. Unfortunately, this stay was quite stressful. The fire alarm in our unit kept randomly going off and stopping all evening—even though no one was even in the room—which made our neighbors in the next room glare at us, thinking it was our fault. To top it all off, we had to deal with this annoying beeping noise for nearly two hours late at night, making it impossible to sleep. That being said, we want to thank the staff who came out to help. They were very kind and polite, and they eventually managed to take the faulty unit down completely. It was a frustrating and sleepless ordeal for loyal returning guests, but we appreciate the friendly service at the end."

"The only thing that was negative was that the reception person just didn’t seem that interested and that showed in how she came across. Maybe showing a bit of interest would make the experience be better for all."

"I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the location is excellent—close to everything you need in Taupō. However, the property could really benefit from some upgrades. The furniture feels quite dated, the bed was not comfortable at all, and the sofa couch and carpet were not up to the standard shown in the photos. Also, be sure to bring your own toothbrush, as one is not provided. Overall, I’d rate this property 7/10. With some updates to the furnishings and better attention to guest amenities, it could be a much better experience."

"Great spot view was amazing and bed very comfortable, but many things in the heritage side need maintaining. Electrical crackling near the bed. Some lights didn't work. The shower head was split and leaking touch points were old and worn (toilet flush button etc) A note, some rooms say tub or shower. Not necessarily both. Last time we stayed here I think we got the best room they had. This time was supposed to be deluxe but was just ok. Staff were great though."
