"This has been the best stay. Specially the staff is really friendly, helpful, and supportive.the view from the terrace is amazing. The breakfast is lovely and so is the person who makes zaida, she gave the best service for breakfast. Kenal has been very helpful with everything. We cane with are parents. If you want to stay near blue mosque in sultanahmat i would strongly suggest surahan hotel."

Kitchen, no tourist, near proper supermarket, local bakery, kind staffs and roof top sitting area at sister’s hotel nearby (free tea and coffee all day) Hotel is like a home stay, so comfortable, very bright, good space. "Our only comment that can add to info gatherers is that while it is located close to all the main attractions as described, Istanbul is a hilly city; if you have difficulty walking, the uphill to the nearest tram station can be a challenge. Walking on a flat terrain to the Blue Mosque, etc, can take 18 mins or so. Otherwise, all reviews from other travellers are accurate."

"A very cute, beautifully decorated boutique hotel. Walking distance to all places to visit. Breakfast is served on the terrace. It was truly a hearty Turkish Breakfast. There is an incredible sea view from the terrace and the terrace is open until two in the morning. I think this was the biggest surprise of this hotel."

"We spent a wonderful week in La Mer Old City Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, modern and clean. The location is fantastic, we saw the Ayia Kiriaki church from our window. The Sea of Marmara and U3 train is 3 minutes on foot. The main attractions of Istanbul are also very close. The staff of the hotel is very kind, friendly and helpful, we would like to thank them all their kindness."
