"I wasn't entirely sure about this place given the lack of information, but I'm glad we ended up camping here. I opted for the new glamping tents which were fantastic! The camp itself is primarily families who've been coming to this location (and the camp next door) for decades so it's not exactly a place for tourists... it's a place to experience, particularly to see nature in action - clean water, the Nordic summer sun, great people. This was easily the highlight of our 3-week vacation....

"The bathroom has a smell, otherwise the room is pretty clean and nicely maintained Location is very convenient, close to central station and cruise."

"Small and bad. Sheets unclean, had to make your own bed, only one towel for a two person booking, dirty walls, light flickering lights that needed changing, elevator and self check in did not work or had problems, not vey “smart” at all…good luck if your on the top floor, could be going up and down dropping other guests off before elevator isn’t in use/ needed….our room looked completely different to photos (box room) which is not “sound deadening”. Extremely hot hotel, heating on high! Price state was a variation bit of a con, twice the price we were expected after add ons , booking fees, breakfast. Could have something a lot nicer for the price! Ran down needs maintenance! Would not recommend!"

"A dream of a retreat. A 35 minute metro journey from Oslo S station and a 10 minute walk reveals a stunning secluded hotel that hides many annexes. The views and trails close to the hotel are astounding and the silence……is deafening - just the birdsong to listen to - heaven. The expert staff are knowledgeable and efficient in their responses and the many rooms - I am sure we didn’t find them all - are all clean and comfortable with many aspects of the hotel’s history on show. This is a fantastic place to stay. The breakfast is plentiful and with much choice and some mornings the cooked choices could have been warmer. A minor criticism for what is one of our standout stays. You even get a spectacular sunset in the staff car park around the back if you are not fortunate enough to be allocated one of the rooms to the left as you walk down the main hall away from the reception area."

"The room service was terrible. Checked in and realised none of the shampoo, shower gel or hand wash was topped up. There was a bowl of half eaten strawberries in fridge from previous guest. Next day asked for room to be cleaned and they didn’t do it. Reception staff was friendly and helpful and the management gave us compensation for the inconvenience. The self service laundry was great and reasonably priced. Charging 100 nok a night for a baby cot is a rip off. Good breakfast Buffett. Apart from room service nothing to complain."
