"We arrived late evening, however a staff member was still on site, she was very pleasant and extremely helpful, made us feel “at home”. The castle has been kept very authentic and would be exactly what someone would want to experience in a castle built in 1283, absolutely amazing place. Would recommend anyone to stay. However a couple things we noticed, after dark there are little to no light sources past the main entrance, the grounds where very dark and interior stairways, making navigation of the stairs up to the guest rooms a bit freaky and difficult. Another recommendation would be to have portable fans available for use inside the guest rooms. "
"This was a wonderful hotel that I wish I could have enjoyed for longer. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms did lack outlets but I believe that is because it is older. The hotel had a very friendly and helpful staff. I was happy I could easily rent a bike at a low cost for the day from the hotel. The breakfast was fantastic! So many choices and all so fresh. It was wonderful too to enjoy eating while viewing the Rhine. (Sadly on the second day of our stay they hosted the breakfast temporarily in the hotel large banquet space - this was not so nice!). The only downside of the hotel is that it is busy! It is not small - it's a huge hotel and thus breakfast, the lobby, and other common areas were always full of people. Check-in and out are not quick processes so allow for some extra time.
Despite minor inconveniences, I would gladly return to this hotel and this time stay longer!"
You can spend an afternoon studying the exhibits at Peace Museum - Bridge at Remagen in Remagen. While you're in the area, stroll along the riverfront.
