Anglers and golfers will also get their money's worth. There are three fishing ponds in the immediate vicinity. A special licence is required for fishing. On the other side of the lake there is an 18-hole golf course for professionals or beginners. You can explore the varied landscape and wildlife of Schleswig-Holstein by bike or on foot. There are beautiful hiking routes and many low-traffic roads and paths for cyclists. You can also go horse riding in the countryside thanks to the nearby riding centre. The Trappenkamp adventure forest with nature play areas, wildlife enclosures and adventure trails is a great destination for children. Hamburg and Lübeck as well as various Baltic seaside resorts are also within easy reach.
