None of these services existed. There was no restaurant and no in-room fridge (which we needed in order to keep medicine cold). We had to go to a different location in order to do our laundry when we arrived. The metal beds squeaked loudly whenever anyone moved so all night there was squeaking as my entire family tosses and turned on hard “mattresses” that were more like concrete slabs. The beds also do not have sheets but instead we were given one small blanket. There were also windows in the room, right above the heads of the beds, and directly under outside courtyard lights. So, it was impossible to get the room dark. Let’s not forget the lizards we had in the room (I counted 3 in just the time we were there). We were booked to stay three nights but at 2am of our first night I was kept awake by a group of men next door loudly yell-talking and banging on god knows what. I booked a new hostel for us in the area and we checked out of Pitta House by 8am. I have never reviewed a hotel because some places are hit or miss, I get it. I cannot, however, in good conscience let others book this hotel without this information as it is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my almost 40 years of life. My family and I are well traveled (over 25 countries) and have slept overnight in camping tents in the rain nicer and more comfortable than this hotel. The room is spotlessly clean, reasonably sized and tastefully decorated. The place is new, well furnished and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful: they gave us some hot drink (we arrived on a rainy day), called a cab to our next destination and gave us a local map and answered our questions about the surroundings. Internet was good. Mattress was comfy, towels and linen clean. Shower pressure good but shower head needs some clearing (some holes are clogged). All in all a great place for the price. Schrecklich. Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Wir brauchen nicht viel, aber funktionierende Steckdosen, warmes Wasser und ein sauberes Zimmer hätten wir für diesen Preis dann doch erwartet, bzw. generell erwartet. Das Badezimmer ist sehr dreckig gewesen und der Gesamtzustand des "Deluxe-Bungalows" sehr heruntergekommen. Die Tür schloss nicht richtig und die Fenster erst nach langem herumruckeln. Insgesamt kann ich das Resort nicht empfehlen, auch wenn die Lage am Strand sehr schön ist. Für diesen Preis gibt es WESENTLICH bessere Unterkünfte. Close to restaurants, bars and shops. A nice area to walk around because the river is nearby too. The staff are friendly and speak good English which is very helpful. The breakfast is good. 3 choices and it's cheap. The room was of a high standard. Zona comunque sicura e tranquilla. Camera spaziosa e pulita, il bagno però molto piccolo. Wi-Fi funzionava abbastanza bene, personale cortese anche se per prenotare un taxi per la mattina presto ho quasi dovuto supplicare (volevano andassi in strada e aspettassi che ne passasse uno di quelli collettivi).. The staff are very helpful and friendly . You get free coffee and tea and some snacks in the morning, can pay for an actual breakfast which we didn't do. It's a bit of a walk from the pier 10-15 mins but it's along the river with lots of food stalls and restaurants on the way so you don't need to go too far. The only downside is that the bathroom was a bit of a squash and the balcony is tiny, just room to dry clothes.
