The location of the hotel was excellent -- near the beach and close to loads of restaurants and bars. Very walkable. However, we found the service was lacking in several instances and the hotel appeared to have been updated hastily and cheaply. The elevator was not in service for several days, and our room was on the 5th floor. The hotel staff just said "sorry" and didn't do much to make up for the inconvenience. The pool water was not clean and did not appear to have a working filter. The sun loungers were broken, and the used towels and empty glasses/bottles sat unattended for days on end, even after we mentioned it to the manager. The manager did make a gesture of compensation after our complaints, which we appreciated. However, the larger issue of changing what was wrong did not seem to be addressed. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Krabi, but for the price we paid at Days Inn, we didn't find the value worthwhile.
