C'est une cabane de luxe avec un grande terrasse perchée à 5 mètres de hauteur où l'on dîne en amoureux face à un plan d'eau où viennent boire les animaux. Cet établissement possède une immense réserve où il y a notamment des lions et lionnes, qui sont leurs animaux phares. Le lieu est vraiment très beau car même sur l'immense terrasse de l'établissement (petit-déjeuner et dîner) on a une belle et grande vue sur des plans d'eau et un paysage de savane. Merveilleux. Mention spéciale pour le personnel et sa manager qui ont été incroyablement efficaces et compétents, et tout particulièrement attentionnés avec nous. Nous avons vraiment préférés "Hobatere Lodge" à sa petite soeur "Grootberg Lodge" qui se trouve dans les montagnes, où nous y avons également dormi. Le confort à Habatere est meilleur. We saw plenty of wildlife & the overall quality of rooms, food, facilities was 10/10\. I wish i could have stayed longer. Plastic bottles shall be banned on all lodges as it is done at the Skeleton coast , Cape Cross, and most exclusive lodges in Etosha. Unlike other places where one guy gets rich, this place is community owned and all proceedings go back to locals. We were greeted overwhelmingly friendly and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we have a pleasant stay. On our last morning we were informed that lions made a kill right outside the lodge at the waterhole and were offered a FREE trip with the guides to to have a closer look. How hospitable is that? The guides are experienced and knowledgable and we enjoyed our game drives inside the beautiful Hobatere reserve as well as a full day round trip to Etosha (which is less pretty than the surrounding area of the lodge).
