Historic Upper Lusatian timber-framed house

You’ll be staying in a 250-year-old half-timbered house—an architectural landmark that has been restored using natural materials such as wood, clay, and linseed oil. The interior log rooms are a distinctive feature of this historic folk architecture and create a pleasant indoor climate even on hot days.



Classic furniture design and select antiques characterize the interior. In the large log-walled room with a winter storm window, a wood-burning stove keeps you warm in the winter, while all other rooms have central heating. Special details such as sliding windows and antique curtains from the Himalayas tell stories of times gone by. Due to its status as a historic monument, there are also some architectural peculiarities, and because of the cellar below, the shower has a headroom of approximately 180 cm.



The small, sunny garden invites you to relax and offers a peaceful retreat after eventful days in Upper Lusatia.



One dog is welcome here; however, if you’re bringing multiple dogs, we ask that you contact us in advance to discuss arrangements.

Dresden and Görlitz are easily accessible for cultural excursions, while numerous hiking and biking trails crisscross the region.
