The waterside location is great and the views over the water from the room and terrace are fantastic. The old town is approximately 30 minutes walk along the waterfront along quiet roads. It's a nice walk and well lit at night, but there are also local buses available and a taxi cost about 5 Euros. There are some shops and restaurants along the way. The room itself was clean and adequate, and the owners were friendly and welcoming. A home made breakfast is available for 4 Euros per person.
