The breathtaking view was the reason. Here she also opened her gallery in the garden and put her pictures and icons under. The bistro cafe came shortly after and everything was immediately discovered by well-known travel guides, like Dummont and Marco Polo. Tourists came and would like to spend the night, so the apartments were created. One of the three apartments of, "Orea Ellas" is the here presented Apollon (greek. God of light and protector of the arts). It is a studio, located on the first floor, has a double bed, and two sofa beds. A small but well-equipped kitchen, a small bathroom with shower and a cozy, private terrace with views to the Turkish mainland belong to the object. Down the stairs leads to the winding garden. It offers further seating, such as the BBQ area, a terrace with sun loungers and separate corners for reading, shared by the three apartments. Air conditioning does not have the studio, since it is not necessary. It is a stone building and is located at 300 meters altitude. There are hardly any mosquitoes here. Through a garden gate you come to the garden from the bistro cafe, where Christina spoiled her cafe guests. There you can drink or eat something from 11\. 00 and until 22\. 00\. "I cook as I paint" she says, d. H. according to mood, the same dish is different every time! Am Liebsten sitzt man aber draußen und genießt den liebevoll gestalteten Innenhof. Und zum Sonnenuntergang hat man die Qual der Wahl entweder in diesem privaten Bereich auf der Sonnenterrasse zu sitzen oder bei Kristina im Café. Our host, Christina, was very welcoming and had everything ready for us on late arrival. The property, set within the grounds of an artists compound, has been lovingly and sympathetically restored in traditional Greek style over nearly 30 years. Every inch has been carefully considered, the property sits within a world of its own, a little pile of beautiful Greek pleasures around every corner and within every nook and cranny. I stayed here in early April with my parents. The weather was lovely despite a couple of windy nights which was quite an experience given that the property sits nestled at the foot of quite an imposing mountain, tall fan palms swayed back and fourth in quite a dramatic fashion, an epic experience. The town of Kos was a pleasant surprise, we had expected to find remnants of the refugee crisis but, instead, we found a beautifully kept old town teaming with cafés and sympathetically presented curio shops. The town square offers an authentic Greek experience and the coffee was very refreshing after a long stroll around the many little streets and pristine marina and port. The whole island offers little gems around every corner, an island very limited in brand name hotels but rich in culture and authentic Greek life. I would highly recommend this property and indeed, the island of Kos for any type of holiday. We stayed for 5 days but could have easily stayed for weeks. ##### Kerry W. Die Kommunikation mit Tassos im Vorfeld war vorbildlich. Wir hatten ziemlich viele Fragen, die er schnell, freundlich und präzise per Email beantwortet hat. Die Anfahrt war mit der guten Wegbeschreibung kein Problem. Die sehr nette Gastgeberin Christina hat uns herzlich willkommen geheißen und war stehts offen für unsere Wünsche. Auf diesem Wege noch mal vielen Dank an beide! In der Wohnung im klassischen Landhaus-Stil hat es uns gut gefallen und an nichts gefehlt. Der Garten war wunderschön, und hin und wieder bekamen wir Besuch von Christinas zwei süßen Hunden und einer Katze. Die Lage ist schön zentral, so dass man mit dem Mietwagen alle Ecken der Insel gut erreichen kann. Wir waren in Kos-Stadt, Old Pili, Zia, auf dem Berg Dikeos, am Paradise Beach und Agios Stefano. Man kann Kos auch mit dem Fahrrad erkunden (Verleih bringt Räder vorbei), aber da wir auf 300 Metern Höhe waren und ein 6jähriges Kind dabei hatten waren wir froh, einen Mietwagen zu haben. ##### Martin R. Unsere Wohnung wunderschön geschmackvoll und sehr sauber.Bis ins kleinste Detail alles mit viel Liebe und gutem Geschmack verzaubert.Toller Garten schönes cafe und gutes Essen.Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und Svenja wurde es auch nicht langweilig..Idealer Ausgangsort um Kos zu erkunden.Freuen uns auf nächstes mal.!!!! Archival ### 10/10 Excellent #### Hannelore W. 14 Jul 2014 #### Traumurlaub auf Kos Es war unser erster Urlaub auf Kos und wir haben uns in unserer Ferienwohnung in Orea Ellas sehr wohlgefuehlt! Die Vorbereitung unseres Aufenthaltes war super und wir haben die Wohnung, den schoenen Garten und die Aussicht von Christinas Terasse sehr genossen. Die Lage der Wohnung hat es uns ermoeglicht, die ganze Insel problemlos zu erkunden - alles in allem ein Traumurlaub und sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch in Orea Ellas! Die Vorabbetreuung (in unserem Fall über Tassos) ließ schon keine Wünsche offen. Das Appartement war wie beschrieben, sauber und ordentlich. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Christina, Melina und Sofia aufgenommen und haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen verlebt. Die Anlage ist wunderbar als Basis für einen Individualurlaub auf Kos und evtl. den Nachbarinseln geeignet. Wir bedanken uns für einen tollen Urlaub, nette neue Bekanntschaften und "tierische" Zuneigung. ##### Maren K. Archival ### 10/10 Excellent #### Christoph P. 17 Jul 2013 #### immer wieder ein Traum Bereits zum zweiten Male durfen wir (Theresa und Christoph) Christinas Gastfreundschaft genießen. 2012 verbrachten wir 2 Wochen in diesem kleinen Paradies, dieses Jahr sogar 3\. Es war - wie immer - ein toller Urlaub. Ab der zweiten Woche unseres diesjährigen Aufenthalts bekamen wir noch einen weiteren Gast, dem es ebenso gut gefallen hat und ebenfalls begeistert war. Sehr entspanntes Urlauben ist hier vorprogrammiert und Christina (bzw. dieses Jahr auch Tassos natürlich) war eine traumhaft nette Gastgeberin. Wir können Christinas Appartements nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der - fernab der üblichen Massentourismusströme - leben und Kos WIRKLICH entdecken will. Das "nach Hause" kommen nach den drei Wochen war eher wie ein "von zu Hause wegfahren"... Bis zum nächsten Mal Theresa, Maria und Christoph ##### Christoph P. Wir, 5 Mädels auf Griechenlandtour, waren vom 15.06.13 - 29.06.13 zu Gast bei Christina und Tassos. Zum ersten, aber ganz sicher nicht zum letzten Mal. Die Bilder können nicht im entferntesten beschreiben, was für ein Paradies man zu sehen bekommt. Die Lage: mitten in den Bergen mit Blick auf das Meer. Die Appartements: liebevoll individuell gestaltet. Die Galerie: man entdeckt täglich neues. Das Caffeechen entzückend. Das Essen ein Traum. Der Garten ein Dschungel. Wer Lust auf Individualurlaub hat ist hier sicher gut aufgehoben. Familienanschluss inklusive. Bei Bedarf steht Tassos mit Rat und Tat zu Seite und seine Tipps waren alle mit einander einfach wunderbar. Vielen Dank an Christina und Tassos für einen aussergewöhnlichen und superschönen Urlaub. Das Ambiente ist so liebevoll und individuell gestaltet, daß man es auf Fotos gar nicht festhalten kann. Der Garten eine einzige Entdeckungsreise. Die Gastgeberin Christina eine begnadete Köchin und Malerin. Jedes Appartement ist eine Augenweide für sich. Der Blick am Morgen aufs Meer unbezahlbar. Wer auf der Suche nach dem Aussergewöhnlichen ist wird hier seine Freude haben, Familienanschluss inbegriffen. Vielen Dank an Christina und Tassos für diesen wunderschönen Urlaub.
