"Hotel location was great. However rooms definitely needs updating. The toilet shower has mold everywhere.
Breakfast was very basic. Not like other similar hotels with same price range. Hot breakfast will cost you quite a bit.
The hotel grounds need to have better lighting as the rooms are located so far away from the main reception and dinning area and does seem to be unsafe at night."

Great location for all the family to relax and chill. Loads to do, all well organised (tramping, fishing, surfing, kayaks, island tours, village tours, snorkelling with sharks...) just remember it’s all on Fiji time!

We stayed at two hotels on our trip to Fiji: the 5 star Sofitel in Nadi and Tambua Sands. We preferred Tambua Sands ANY DAY over the Sofitel. Not that the Sofitel was bad it was very nice although they did try sneakily get us to pay $400 more than we had to!!! Dodgy! ...but we preferred Tambua for a number of reasons:
1/ It was quiet, tranquil and you felt like you were living on the beach on a secluded island. Pool was nice.
2/ All the bungalows were literally on the beach under the palm...

Have just got back from a short stay here with the family for two days. Whenever we visit Sigatoka we usually book a hotel however as there were a few of us, we decided on a villa style apartment.
The villas themselves I would recommend for a short stay. They have everything you will need if wanting to cook , cooker microwave fridge and cooking pot pans and utensils. There is a tv and clean towels are provided daily. I have to mention there is no WiFi within the villas however the villas are...

Bula!
Thank you to everyone at the Fiji hideaway resort and spa.
This was the first time my family and I had visited and we had an absolutely delightful time.
The staff were fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and consistently smiling and willing to help out.
The food, especially the tandoori chicken, was such a highlight.
In terms of the room, the room was lovely. We had the family room which managed to sleep my mom, dad, my 9 year old niece and myself.
The only room for improvement...

I should make it clear that this review reflects what we were looking for (chilled out relaxation, away from the rest of the world, good food, snorkelling with no crowds) and as such this place ticked all the boxes. If you are looking for a place with TVs in the rooms, fast wifi for your (ever present) Ipad, night life and super shopping then this place simply isn't for you. If you want friendly helpful staff, a beautiful location, excellent food, away from all the modern "conveniences", clean...

Stayed at Geckos for a few nights whilst family were staying at Shangri -La. Great price for location near Shangri-La where there is more action (water sports, weddings, golf, etc). Nice and quiet at night, staff were incredibly friendly (they are Fijian after all!!). And the bar stocked cider as well as beer. Will definitely stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Most of the staff lived in the village next door which was lovely, as we were able to to experience the village such seeing their church, village hall and some of the ladies who lived there and their Handicrafts.
Food selection was average, but the chefs was happy to cook food to order if there wasn't anything suitable on the menu.
Room was clean and tidy with air con and a lovely outdoor shower.
Location was a bit secluded but was on a beautiful beach front...

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this place - if you're looking for tranquillity in a harmonious, stunning setting right by the beach but without the trappings of the big resorts, you would struggle to beat Wellesley.
We came here for our honeymoon, and we're outdoor types so loved the fact we could head out on massive treks along the white beaches (which are teeming with life by the way), or take to the kayaks or go off snorkelling (both free). The scenery is completely...

We (parents and two kids) stayed there for four nights in August 2026. We got there from Nadi by taxi. We received a three bedroom apartment with a master bedroom, two bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen equipped with absolutely everything one needs. Everything in the apartment is brand new and of excellent quality. They also have a nice , not too big pool, but for the kids it was a super attraction. The manager, Mr Junior was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. He helped us with tours and...
