So many things to love about the Kiahuna. It’s a charming, well-landscaped, & low-density paradise located near one of the best beaches on Kauai. We’ve vacationed here many times over the years & have come to call it a second home.I want to be fair about this unit (214). There were wonderful aspects & some areas for improvement.Pros: Great location directly above the lagoon with beautiful ocean views beyond. Ending our days on the upstairs lanai with a beverage was magical. The trade winds helped keep the upstairs common areas fairly cool day & night - and the bedroom AC units were highly appreciated for very cool sleeping. This unit is well-positioned between the beach & property amenities across the street, as well as the on-site restaurant.Cons: This particular condo was not as well equipped as others we’ve experienced. It could also use some sprucing in areas that didn’t overwhelmingly affect our stay, but were still noticeable. Sharing the feedback so the owners can prioritize improvements:1. Primary shower tub enamel peeling off the floor and rust showing around overflow drain2. Primary bath towel bar fell off. We stuck it back on, but could present a hazard to future guests3. Shower door in second bath would not fully close4. Water stains on the upstairs & downstairs ceilings5. Living room coffee table rattan trim peeling off6. Kitchen had two broken can openers7. Ice maker was broken8. Downstairs lanai had a rusted out rocking chair that was not usable
