Too hard and uncomfortable. Everything else considered, actually outweighed this. I ended up booking and staying on for a further 5 nights. The area is full of restaurants and pool bars. Beach is ok but better one on the other side at a 10 minutes walk. Staff very helpful and friendly. (no Huntsmans) I rented a budget bungalow and it was well worth the money. Ive rented similar bungalows at other places on the island which were nowhere near as good. It was spotless and had a mosquito net (first time ive had one), which is good for pansies that are scared of mossies. There were no cockroaches or huntsman spiders involved either, which is a real bonus. The only point that other people may have a problem with is the bed is quite "firm", shall we say. I like a hard mattress, so I'm ok with that, but there are plenty others who will probably moan that their bed shouldve been more softer for the 400 Baht a night price (very cheap). Yes, there are people who will always whinge, and theyre usually from the same countries.....we all know who you are. Not sure if the restaurant is part of the same establishment, but it was a bit of work trying to order something (nobody seems to be in any real hurry to even acknowledge you are there), and the food wasnt as good as ive had in other places. I would definitely stay there again but maybe eat somewhere else. There are loads of fantastic restaurants not that far away from there. I suppose the competitions stiff and ive only tried the place once, so dont write them off on my review alone. This is the only reason that I havent given them full marks for everything. It is nicely located close to the beach, the rooms are clean and have everything you need. Not the highest standard, not new - but a good deal for the price. There is a moscito net and a ventilator, a hammock - I really liked it. TERRIBLE!! Avoid this hotel!!! Never been more disappointed to arrive to a room that was not as described on the website. There was a bad smell when we walked into the room. And the bed was rock solid. Would have been better lying on the floor. We also had a hike up quite a few steep steps with 2 heavy rucksacks on are back. When we went to the reception desk a man who claimed he was the manager laughed in my face well I told him the issues we had. He made fun of the whole issue and claimed the photos on the website were taken when the place was opened and that bubble bungalow did not look like this anymore he also claimed all of the beds were hard. He also stated ‘sure you only stay one night’. I have never felt so embarrassed and I will never recommend here to anyone. Wether we stayed one night or not we should have been treated like everyone else. And the blankets provided were old and too small. A simple sheet would be far better! The shower smelt very bad when turned on. There was a lot of rubbish around the bungalow which ruined the surrounding plant life. Mein Bungalow hatte einen traumhaften Ausblick- ich habe es genossen morgens aufzuwachen oder den Tag in der Hängematte ausklingen zu lassen... der Bungalow war in einem guten Zustand- klitzekleinen Abzug für das Badezimmer... aber für den Preis- no comments... die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich- es gibt einen Shuttle zum Pier und egal was für ein Anliegen man hat- sie bemühen sich zu helfen! Die Lage ist tip top! Situé très en hauteur,beaucoup de marches à escalader. Pas d’eau chaude ce qui est d’ un moindre mal mais il faut faire vite.Nous avons dû demander une couverture supplémentaire car une seule dans la chambre et qui ne fait pas toute la largeur du lit. Par contre elle nous a été livré rapidement et avec gentillesse. I had a room with a fan only which was good as i was quite cold at night anyway. I loved the hammok out the front and i was lucky enough to lay in it most of my stay, listen to the sound of the forrest (with the occasiinal car or bike zoom past) and watch the squirrels (i think thats what they were) play in the trees. An keinem Tag haben wir die Buchung der Unterkunft bereut, die Kommentare haben sich bei uns nicht als wahr bewiesen. Der Bungalow war gemütlich, alles war verfügbar, es war sauber, man hatte einen tollen Blick auf eine Art Wald und ein wenig Meer.
