2 min walk to the beach or shopping. Great pool. Buffet breakfast had fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries, or hot, cooked choices. Very clean room and friendly efficient staff. We would stay there again.

the hotel offers direct access onto the beach with lovely pool to cool down in, the bar area in the beach is vibrant with a collection of seating and the restaurant over looks the beach and sea. The rooms are cleaned daily with pool towels provided

Away from night time noises
Very happy with our stay. We were across the road in the Teak wing. This is not a first class resort, as its rates would suggest. However it is definitely value for money. Breakfast was good and the pool adjacent to the restaurant is exceptional.

Absolutely loved It! The pool was huge and within a few feet from the beach. The staff was great, the property was beautiful and clean and within walking distance to the night market! Made my stay in Koh Samui a dream.

Worn down rooms in an otherwise nice resort
Pros - nice big pool on a beachfront property with a very nice poolside bar and a restaurant. Cons - very old tired and musky rooms. They were clean but were just dated. The air conditioner works well but I felt the filter needed changing as it made me cough quite a lot. Tv deception awful. We paid about £50 a night which for this resort was generally worth it. You get all the benefits of a lovely pool but the rooms are a let down. It is priced accordingly in my view.

Not worth the price by a long-shot
I really don't like giving negative reviews but this one is required to save others from making the same mistake. The hotel did not tick any of the boxes that I feel are a must when spending well over $100 for a room in Thailand. The bathroom was not clean and the plumbing very suspect, with the handle nearly falling off every time you tried to flush. Water exceptionally brownish yellow, and while you will see this often in Thailand, can't recall THAT dirty of water. Cleaning staff, while friendly, needs more workers. We expect a clean room after a day of sightseeing & being about. Seemed no longer how long we left the room, it was still not cleaned by the time we returned and more than once had to request a cleaning from front desk. You can tell the grounds of the hotel were once beautiful but that was long ago and nobody has bothered to renovate for a couple decades. It should be noted that our first 5 nights in Ko Samui were at a different hotel, one just a few blocks north and the SAME price. This hotel was amazing so coming to this place made it extra disappointing. (why did we change? Well, the other hotel was full on this busy week between Christmas and NYE)

Blue lagoon at last improving but slowly.
Overal the experience is good as was the service. The breakfast and beds need improving not enough choice for breakfast and beds feel small it was also nice to see massage tables have come back to hotel at a reasonable price.

The hotel is amazing but the manager now is not good, never smiles and in my opinion does not treat his lovely staff very well. I think they could run the hotel better than him!!!!

Blue Lagoon Will Always Be Our Choice on Chaweng
My family travels abroad every summer. We have our favorite places to revisit and Koh Samui is high on our list for return visits. There are so many beautiful hotels on Chaweng Beach. The luster of the new and over the top do not even tempt our family, we will always stay at Blue Lagoon. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast is diverse and changes daily. (We are restauranteurs in Scottsdale, AZ) But the staff at Blue Lagoon is the reason that we return. From reception to check out, room attendant to beach sweeper this staff makes you feel that you are their most important guest. The staff has won our loyalty and we will always give Blue Lagoon our business when we visit Koh Samui.

The location was great. Short walking distance to city. It was good that it was not to close to city so we got nice and quiet sleep. Beach access was great. Pool was good. Breakfast was not FREE as it says here on hotels.com, which was a bummer as that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel....

We were at the hotel during the recent heavy storms and flooding (Jan 17) not great if u are a sun worshipper. But it kep things cooler than normal and made the evenings less hot and humid! Which was a silver lining.

great hotel shame about the location
stayed in a bungalow which is situated across the road from main building set in very pretty garden room size very good but interior needs refurbishment as very dated main hotel grounds and pool beautful leading straight onto the gorgeous beach lovely staff the only downside is chaweng itself which is dirty extremely smelly and very noisy! you could stay at this hotel and avoid chaweng altogether though i would recommend this hotel and would stay in lovely looking beach bungalows if staying there again

the best Pool in Chaweng
Blue Lagoon is peaceful, clean, confortable and very friendly. Staff go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful experience. The poo larea is the definite highlight of this tropical oasis amidst the cacophony of Chaweng.

Hotel is on the beach and close to where the action is..but the hotel itself is tired and dull..cluttered garden..not known for anything much..no action, music, massage, or great food.. you get a room, a pool , breakfast and good location and access to the beach. And a bit overpriced. Staff helpful.

well located hotel on the beach 5 minute walk into chaweng town. hotel staff very friendly and helpful. rooms cleaned daily food at hotel good pool clean and maintained daily. jellyfish a problem in the sea when we were there in october so be aware, beach clean. We would definately go back

Fantastic hotel
Staff was very friendly and always trying to please you. Hotel was just outside main part of chaweng but close enough for a short walk, beach was ok lagoon was best part. Luved the pool area looking out onto beach.

Beautiful resort in good location. Breakfast and WiFi included. Staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome. 4 year old son got constant recognition and special attention. Will definitely return. Hosts a weekly beach bbq which was amazing.

Private hut on the beach
Low cost no frills, basic private hut across the road from the main part of the hotel that has the pool, beach and restaurant. As such it is very private and you can access it easily. There are similar huts on the beach for a little more as well as traditional hotel rooms. Most, if not all have private balconies. Breakfast is decent with a wide variety of fresh things and the WiFi was adequate.

Bit tired but great location.
After arriving we were shown to our 1st floor room. We soon discovered air con was not working and reception moved us to room 202 which was ground floor and over looked pool. Furniture and bathroom generally tired condition but bed was comfortable and room cleaned daily. The staff were always very helpful, buffet breakfast good and location of hotel ideal. We had a lovely stay.

We love this place! This was our 2nd stay and we would stay here again next time we return to Koh Samui. Staff are fantastic and so friendly. The massage ladies are great, so happy and funny! We had cocktails with them at the end of their shifts each night we stayed! The location is at the north end of Chaweng Beach, its quieter but still near all the action. Beach is clean and the water is warm and great to swim in! Price is very reasonable for the location and quality of this resort.

Chaweng blue lagoon
Chaweng blue lagoon is in an ideal location in samui, right at the northernly tip of chaweng road. It's close enough to the hustle and bustle to walk to but also far enough away that you can feel peaceful in the hotel. They had overbooked our room but luckily we got an upgrade to the deluxe room which was a nice touch. Rooms are a good size. Wifi is very poor through the hotel though! Pool is very nice and looks out onto the beach We had lunch in the hotel 1 afternoon and the salads we had were extremely well prepared and fresh.

Overall, the hotel is good. It is situated a little away (~5-10min walk) from the hustle bustle of the street, which we like. We were checked into a bungalow but were disappointed as it was across the street and away from the pool and beach, and so we requested for a transfer to the rooms instead. The transfer incurred some costs but it was well worth it. The rooms were also better maintained than the bungalows, which is a shame in my opinion. The buffet breakfast was nice, and so was dinner. We especially enjoyed the pool, and the happy hour by the pool.

Another Great Stay at Blue Lagoon!
This is the second time we have stayed at Blue Lagoon and once again it was a great. We love the location and the value for money. This resort is priced well compared to the other hotels and resorts on the expensive Chaweng Beach side of Koh Samui. Staff are excellent, breakfast and other meals are delicious and the cocktails are priced well (AUD$6 each) and of high standard! 2 for 1 happy hour for beer, cocktails and wine is great value! Thanks again!
