This is a hotel where local families come, hardly any foreigners. This used to be a well run family hotel. It has deteriorated. The location is still excellent but one has to ask several times for toilet paper and drinking water until something eventually turns up. The food is also more liquid rather than substance day after day. They are understaffed and have big student groups stay which strain their service. Still I can walk to many interesting places from here including the Shiva Temple and the ferry to Fort Kochi. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Ein sehr leckeres indisches Frühstück ist im Aufenthalt inklusive und sowohl ein Restaurant als auch ein kleines Imbiss-Cafe sind vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Aufgrund der Nähe zum Hafen sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten leicht zu erreichen. Check to see if your room says it had air conditioning, as mine didn't. The room was Spartan, but clean. The cordiality of the staff at the coffee shop and restaurants can improve. The buffer breakfast - Indian food was great but there could be better arrangements for the western style. Ernakulam has much more Indian flavour than Fort Kochi. Only vegetarian food available. However, there is a good non-veg resturant available next door. A short walk to the commercial centre - M G Road, to the Esplanade, hopital (emergencies), post office, etc. Rooms are clean and well maintained.
