Behind a lockable gate, in a large courtyard is located in a direct, quiet, Rhine one of the oldest half-timbered houses in Koblenz - Wallersheim: We affectionately call it "Rhein-Koblenz", as it has experienced more than 200 years - the history of pure Koblenz has experienced. The location is absolutely quiet, at the end of a lane. In the house itself, the first wall decorations and beams of that time can still be discovered. The house where the parents were born was lovingly renovated and refurbished over several years. The accommodation extends over 3 floors and covers approx. 120 square meters. A hanging chair invites you to relax and watch the passing ships or the flying swans. flying swans. A room-saving staircase in the living room leads to the top floor. There is a bed (1.40 m) to the left and right. If you lie in bed, you can see the sky through the the sky through the large skylights. The house itself is full of charm and history, impeccably clean, and filled with thoughtful details – from chocolates on the bed to perfectly folded towels that made us feel instantly welcome.What truly made the experience stand out were the hosts. They were incredibly generous and attentive, offering personalised touches throughout our stay that showed genuine care. They gave us great local tips with detailed instructions, booked a restaurant on our behalf, and even offered to drive us there and pick us up – an extraordinary gesture that we won’t forget.We’ve travelled widely and stayed in many wonderful places, but these hosts have set a new benchmark. We quickly settled though in to the comfortable bedrooms and sitting area. My 'boys' are young men and too tall for the loft/attic beds but kids would love the 'fort' that they would have to themselves. There is parking for your car, a kitchen to suit all needs, and most notable was a separate garden for us to use and sit watching the ships pass along the Rhein while enjoying a delicious reisling! we met both owners (husband and wife; Carsten & Claudia) who made us feel like they were just wonderful neighbours who I would love to get to know more. With so much to explore in Koblenz, at the split of the Rhein and Mosel we know that we will return again and hope to stay at RheinblickNOW one day in the future! ##### Trevor C. Pros: Het huis heeft een fijne sfeer, een fijne inrichting en een prachtig uitzicht op de Rijn. Vanuit de schommelstoel zie je de boten voorbij komen. Het is rustig gelegen en je bent zo in Koblenz. Ontzettend vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw! Die Ausstattung ist vollumfänglich, wir konnten backen und grillen und am Wochenende auch groß kochen. Das Haus ist zudem hell und offen gestaltet und bietet vor allem rheinseitig einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Landschaft. Man konnte mit den Gastgebern alles ansprechen, und wurde rundum gut betreut - egal was fehlte, es lag direkt am nächsten Tag bereit. Nadine und Carsten machen sich wirklich die größte Mühe, ihre Gäste willkommen zu heißen und dafür zu sorgen, dass sie sich wie zu Hause fühlen.
