My stay was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I arrived, the hotel looked NOTHING like the pictures. The beach itself is beautiful, but the property is old, dirty, and poorly maintained. The room smelled like sewage - I agree with other reviewers who have described it as "staying in Alcatraz." I arrived at my room after dinner to find a cockroach inside. Within 20 minutes, a second (huge) cockroach appeared. For context, I have a deep-rooted phobia of cockroaches. I tried to seek help, but the front desk was closed (they DO NOT offer 24h service), so the staff had to come from home to address the issue. I was hyperventilating (if I could choose not to have this phobia, I certainly would, but alas, here I am). I wanted to leave right away and book alternative accommodation nearby, to which the staff did not respond well. I was engaged in a hostile negotiation for 90 minutes. At one point, I was physically inside a room with two of the staff standing in front of the door - and it certainly did not feel as though I was free to leave. They staunchly refused to agree to a refund, despite Expedia Customer Service attempting to contact them to process it. After 1 1/2 hrs of mental manipulation, I was coerced into accepting an alternative room, which they sprayed with insecticide. I did not sleep, and my stay at this beautiful beach was ruined by this wretched hotel. This hotel cannot continue to exist in its current state. Please don't book this!"
