It was close enough to walk to town but far enough away for peace and quiet. The resort is a bit dated and the upper pool had cloudy water. The morning breakfast had a huge and delicious selection of options. We came by ferry to the island and there was someone waiting at the pier to transport our luggage to our hotel. I didn’t even organise this, the hotel organised on our behalf. The hotel is beautiful and clean and right on the beach with a lot of restaurants around. Easy walk to the centre of the island. The rooms are very basic and limited amenities at the property. Most of the hotel on the side of the street and is very open. Upon arrival we were strictly told to put everything in the safe and to use the key (this did not fill us with confidence), especially when the balcony doors were difficult to lock. The walls in the room are paper thin, staff walkie talkies were so loud that they would wake you up very early and located next to a mosque with a loud call to prayer. The pool itself is ok and the restaurant was good, but there was a lack of sun beds for the amount of guests staying. HOLIDAY DESTROYER!!!!!!!!!!! My fiancé, young child and myself all got a bacterial infection from showering in this hotel, the water stank like raw sewage! My fiancé has been hospitalised from the condition over night! I am angry and disappointed that you would even have this "hotel" on your website. I have been extremely happy with the other hotels on your site and booked two in Phuket which were both lovely! The hotel in phi phi was an absolute joke, got into our room and had no toilet roll or towels, the shower didn't work at all at first and then when it did it was the worst smell I have ever experience. We could flush toilet roll which we could live with... if the hotel had clean the bin every day like Thames said they would, overall worst experience of my life and has completely ruined a trip we have been saving for over a year for!
