This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It's the perfect spot for a quiet, romantic getaway or a fun filled family vacation. The beds are comfy and there's ample space for storage. Utensils, linens/towels, cookware, and laundry are all housed within the property, which is an added plus. This is a hidden gem, and we are counting down the days until we can return. Very clean and updated. Great location and amenities. The host was very accommodating and helpful. The WiFi was intermittent and after contacting Vlad, he took care of it asap by contacting the company and sending someone out to rectify the issue. Will definitely stay again. ##### Jolene C. We had a wonderful stay in this apartment! Top and furnished with a lot of love. Coffee, tea, water, shampoo etc. were sufficiently available. The backyard was sunny and perfect for a barbecue.
