This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of space and bedrooms with bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes/pans and there is plenty of ice. The Vacation Home is a little dated and could use a good cleaning as far as the appliances (on the outside). There were a lot of fingerprints from previous renters which made you feel the kitchen was dirty. The Pool area had leaves/debris from the winter months. LOTS of TVs, plenty of space for a large group to spread out. The house needs some basic upkeep, and a few items we requested to be repaired while we were there (gas fireplace was not working, door to outside porch was broken). The management company was quick to supply a fix, but we came to find out we were not the first ones to ask for a repair. Kitchen was well stocked, but large kitchen table was in need or repair or replacement. Mattresses on several beds need to be replaced. With a little TLC this place will be a gem! Elevator was perfect! Hot tub was well maintained and very pleasant to use. Location was fabulous! Living room furniture in three locations throughout the house all showing their age. But overall, we enjoyed our first time away from our home in a year because of Covid. Thanks to the managing company for responding so quickly, your staff was excellent! ##### Lori L. We loved the house, especially it’s location in Duck and distance to the beach! Beautiful deck and pool area, tons of kitchen equipment (pots/pans, plates/utensils, general cooking necessities).
