"We stayed 1 week in a nice appartment. A nice hotel 1 hour from Chania airport. Rental car is a good idea. Nice area with good snorkling by the stone beach. There are no umbrellas nor sunbeds at the beds (as seen in the hotels's pictures).

was great too and we had no problems finding a good spot. The very small kitchen was very limited the very only plates etc for 4 people (enough) and ONLY 2 small pots. No frying pan, chopping board, bowls or similar. So don't plan to cook to many dinners...

"Really nice location and personal there was very friendly. We had a sea view family appartment which is on north side of building. So no sun during whole day shining direct in the room which was perfect as it was hot during wholy day :-). Also roll tops were available to darken room. As hotel is on the beach you also have a lot of bars/restaurants within 5 min walk. We enjoyed our stay there. Only problem is the beach as it´s a mixed one of sand and stones. As we had a car our favorite was...
