If you want a hotel that is close to the Castle then this is a good one, but it is 10-15 minutes walk to the train station, restaurants, and the other attractions in Matsumoto. My room was facing the Castle but directly above a busy road, so it was quite noisy."

The atmosphere, the perfectly curated property, and the delicious meals were all wonderful—but what truly made the experience unforgettable were the people. Learning about his colorful background and how La Terra came to be added such a personal and inspiring layer to our stay. He is a man of many talents, and if you’re lucky enough to meet him during your visit, don’t miss the chance to ask about the antiques on the property—each piece holds so much history and culture. Adding to the charm are the lovely dogs who are very much part of the family at La Terra. Their gentle presence made the property feel even warmer and more like home. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already excited to return. Hopefully one day soon, we’ll also get to experience Roshan’s other properties. "
