The only draw back is they didnt have air conditioning. The front desk was amazing and allowed us to pick a 1st floor room. Which was nice and cool.

This National Park Lodge is the nicest place I have stayed in the many parks I have visited. My only issue was the very soft bed in the ADA room we stayed in.

What’s not to like staying in the park. Staff could have been more friendly. Walking down the hall staff member did not even greet us or acknowledge us. Walked into the lodge same thing, the person at the desk did not say good morning, good afternoon of anything. Good things: stay in the NP, room was nice, free coffee in lobby for my husband. Bad things: pillows too soft, bathtub slippery, staff not friendly, no restaurant on site.

It was a good lodge. Pity they only started the fire in the lobby at 6 pm when it was snowing outside. Fun experience doing puzzles in the. Lobby as the tv in the room wasn’t working because of the snow. Restaurant nearby was so so.

John Muir Inn was well maintained and situated with all the other Kings Canyon buildings including a restaurant, gift shop, and the Park Welcome center. Our stay was great. Vincent the evening staff at the counter made us fresh baked cookies each night. The inn has a “lodge” feel, and many of the guests met in the main open area downstairs in front of the fireplace to eat or play games in the evening. The Inn provided many family games that you could take and play. Overall was a great experience and recommend the stay.

Convenient place to stay inside the park. The no AC was a struggle for us in July. It did cool off at night, but not near as cool as we keep AC for a comfortable sleep. The bathroom layout in our room was weird leaving very little privacy to get ready. The toilet and shower had a door to close, but nowhere to set clothes except the floor or the toilet. Both gross options. Overall the convenience outweighed the minor inconveniences. But things I wish I would have known ahead of time when traveling with my son.

Good location, friendly staff, I enjoy fresh cup of coffee and they seen to have it days and night. The bathroom is outdated but they come with safety mat. We stayed in the first floor and we can hear footsteps from 2nd floor plus the wall is thin. The beds are comfortable to sleep in.
