This room can also function as a second sleeping area with the use of the new queen sleeper sofa. The main floor bathroom has a slate walk-in shower with a gentle rain shower head. Additional note: this toilet area is tightly built like being on a boat, so may not be best for larger individuals. Enjoy cooking with a fully furnished kitchen and high-top dining table and gas fireplace. Unpack and stay awhile using the new, unitized washer and dryer. Inside, you can snuggle in the queen-sized bed with the comforts of memory foam and quality linens under a 20-foot teepee CEILING in the octagon-shaped, large primary suite. Beautiful in the snow. Well appointed kitchen. Size is just right for couples or a small group, but it's not large. Good restaurants nearby and close to the slopes. My husband and I needed a little getaway and the Gingerbread Cabin was the perfect place to get away from all of life’s hustles and bustles. A very cute well thought out rental and we would love to stay again. Reviewer Comments: Our small family visited The Gingerbread House over the 4th of July holiday weekend. The cabin was cozy, quiet, and features a fantastic bed! The backyard is bigger than the house, private, and well appointed with chairs and tables. The ability to walk into town in a few blocks but not hear it from the cottage was amazing.Older property but full of charm. Definitely recommend for a small group. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it. Many places to eat, and shop nearby. Neighborhood was quiet. Nice peaceful surroundings is what we wanted, and that's what we got. If I could suggest anything, a window a/c unit upstairs for the summer would be great. It got warm up there, and didn't really cool down until later, even with all the windows open. ##### Charles R. Too hot to sleep upstairs where the beds are. Door opens half way in what passes for a bathroom on first floor. Most everything in the house wore out 10 years ago. Outside area was very nice but not cared for and dirty. No hose outside or broom to clean up ourselves. Charm only goes so far. ##### James J. Walking through door my wife said I smell mildew. I said mildew and a lot worse! The epicenter of the bad smell is the kitchen. I am a winemaker and winery owner. I have a heightened sense of smell. I had to keep every window open 24 hours to deal with the odor. The place needs a lot of tlc and a new indication of pride of ownership. We left a day early. The smell got me!! Reviewer Comments: Where do I start with this cute property? First I loved that it has its own driveway, great back yard with fire-pit, the outside balcony was awesome, kitchen though small was still spacious, bedroom up stairs has it's own full bath and old victorian kind of style. I have to give some negatives to keep it real, Strainers missing in some faucets, Towel in the shower had a humid smell(maybe don't hang one there previously). That's really it. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again when in Lake Tahoe. ##### Armando N. Worn and stained carpets, creaky and steep stairs with wobbly handrail. TV did not work and it took 2 days and multiple phone calls to mgt company before someone came out at 7pm to fix it (took 1/2 hour). The yard was a nice place to sit and our dog enjoyed it very much.
