Thanks for the comments. The drive is indeed too steep for most cars, and the turning spot up the hill not very big - that is why there is a sign by the gate encouraging people to park there.

Good point about the dim lights. We noticed the same thing recently, and have just replaced most of the globes with stronger ones.

Thanks for your comments, Jacqui. You are right, windows need fixing. I am just about to order the materials to do it. Parking has now been fixed, as of this morning. It is now possible to drive up to the house and safely turn around under the new carport. We would still prefer people to park down the hill when not moving luggage, though.

Phil, thanks for your comments. The carport [to catch more rainwater] is now finished, and it is possible to drive up to the house and turn around. However, it is best to only do so with heavy loads, and at other times leave the car at the bottom of the block. As Phil says, the house is not really suitable for people with mobility issues.

I appreciate the hassle of carrying everything up the hill. When the new carport is completed [hopefully before the end of November], it will be possible to drive up the hill again. That said, it is better to leave the car down the hill when there is not much to carry.

Gate has been fixed, and now opens easily. Welcome guide was in the property, but not easily located. It is now updated, and clearly visible.

Sorry about the appliance failures. The fridge was replaced by a new one from Launceston within two days of learning about the problem. There is now also a better microwave. The cottage is situated on the side of a hill. This provides a lovely view of the bay, but also requires a bracing walk up the hill. As noted in the property description, the cottage is not suitable for people with mobility issues.
