The house has been finished to a very high standard. It is spacious, bright and warm and, despite being a large house, retains a cosy atmosphere. Although it is quite modern, the house has a country classic look which makes it very comfortable. There is underfloor heating throughout giving a constant temperature all year round. The large windows make the whole house very bright and allow guests to enjoy the wonderful garden and it’s private setting even from indoors. The 5 bedrooms each have a unique style and feel and the living spaces are spacious and have many areas for guests to enjoy. On offer to our guests are: Living: Entrance Hall- spacious and welcoming with it's beautiful curved staircase and gallery, Kitchen/Dining Room - open plan, with everything for the amateur chef including a 7 ring gas stove with three ovens and a large handmade dining table made from reclaimed wood, easily seating 8-10 people and looking out across the entire back garden. Living Room - open to the kitchen, this is a large, high ceilinged room, with an L-shaped couch, Smart TV and a beautiful gas stove to cosy up the evenings. Our 6ft Pool table makes for a fun game for all ages. Sitting Room – elegant evening room with a HD projector and cinema screen for the home theatre. Laundry room – with washing machine, dryer and freezer. Bedrooms: Master Bedroom 1 - Super King size Bed, high ceilings and ensuite. Bedroom 2 - Super King size Bed, high ceilings Bedroom 3 - 2 single beds. Bedroom 4 -1 Double bed Downstairs Bedroom 5 - King bed and TV. Baby cot and highchair etc. available on request. Thanks to Fiona and Rod Stewart for sharing their gorgeous home with us! We were two couples and four 20-somethings for 3 nights in Killarney in the middle of our Ireland adventure. The home was truly a luxury accommodation with plenty of room for everyone to spread out, both inside and out. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed with all the amenities you'd expect. The kitchen and patio were both perfect for big dinners at home and the large farm table saw many hours of family time. The home was in a quiet area that allowed for true relaxation while still be close to town and all the fun. The taxi companies all knew where to find us when we told them we were staying at Scartlea House. Lots of room so that even with a large group you won't get into each other's way. The large kitchen table is great for sitting down to breakfast together or playing games in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped and it's very convenient to have a washer and dryer just off the kitchen. We had two cars and there is ample space for parking. The location was very good, close to Kilarney town and to Kilarney National Park, with easy access to the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle pennisula. The most difficult thing was finding the house the first time. My family and I enjoyed the Scartlea House very much, clean, comfy, spacious to name a few It's located close to town and the Killarney National Park, I would highly recommend this to families looking to vacation in the Killarney area. Fiona let us check in early which was greatly appreciated, If I were ever to return to Killarney I would book again with her. ##### joe b. A very nice garden with a swingset for the children to play and run around. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, we had a wonderful week. Both times we were a party of 8 and the house was more than adequate to comfortably accommodate us all. The location was great for all the day trips we did. Scartlea was well more than we expected! Something for everyone. It was clean, well stocked with dishware etc and beautiful ground to enjoy. Perfect for multiple families. Definitely need a car if staying there, but day trip drives are perfect from here. We ventured off to Dingle, and did the entire Ring of Kerry.
