Such a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable, clean and great hosts. If you love nature, you will love this place. Close to many places to explore (Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Badlands, Hill City, Keystone, Custer). Lovely deck to sit outside and relax.

My husband & I had a wonderful stay at this rental. It had everything we needed for our 6 nights there. It also has amazing views. You can see Mt. Rushmore in the distance. Mike & Lisa live on the property, right next to the rental, but do not invade your space unless you need them. They are very friendly, even gave us some eggs while we were there. They readily answered any questions, gave us a quick tour of the property when we arrive. You are free to walk/hike their property. The property is close to Keystone & all the major sites in the area. Easy to get around. There is peace & quiet here. So relaxing to sit out on the balcony/deck & look at Mt. Rushmore, listen to the birds.We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It is a great place to stay.

Mount Rushmore vuew

We had such a lovely stay here. The rooms were completely furnished with thoughtful amenities to help us further enjoy our stay. The property lies in a beautiful and remote location. Lisa and Mike showed us practical care and many personal kindnesses during our short holiday.

Loved it!

This was our honeymoon stay and we loved it!!! Beautiful, clean and the owners were some of the most welcoming and friendly people. We stayed for a week and although we traveled extensively, we loved coming “home” to this cozy little getaway. We want to make plans to return again and they will be our first choice!!

It was very private hidden up in the hills, beautiful view very clean and quiet the hosts were very helpful on things to do and see very accommodating I truly enjoyed our stay the house had everything we needed I would go back in a heartbeat thanks again for everything Lisa and Mike it was a great vacation sad it had to end

My husband and I absolutely loved everything about our stay at this property. The owners are wonderful people, their property is gorgeous, the house is clean and comfortable, and the views are stunning. It is far enough away from town that it’s peaceful, yet just close enough to Keystone, other area towns/cities, and area landmarks and travel attractions, allowing for the perfect mix of relaxing, shopping, entertainment, being outdoors, etc. Again, I will emphasize, the owners of this property are fabulous! Which makes this location all the more perfect. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great get away in the Black Hills!

Always a wonderful time

This is the fifth time we visited Mike & Lisa’s rental, and every time has been better than the previous, which is impressive as all of our visits have been fantastic. The cabin is unparalleled as is the hospitality and they have their own wonderful greeter in their cat, Okie.The space is very comfortable and clean, and has all the amenities one could hope for. Since our first visit in 2022 we’ve made it a pilgrimage at least annually. You will not find better hosts. They’re awesome!

Beautiful rental in the Black Hills. Well supplied with everything you might need. Central location to everything we wanted to see and do. Mike and Lisa were very nice and accommodating. They allowed us to hike on their property. Offered us eggs from their sweet chickens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back there again!

Lisa and Mike have an incredible property and are the ultimate hosts. The cabin is SPECTACULAR looking from a ridge to Mt. Rushmore in the distance. We sat on the deck and watched sunrise hit the monument and the illumination at night. We've stayed in several VRBOs. This is the best!

Phenomenal

The trip was a last minute get away with my boys. Literally a day before we decided to hop in the car and drive out to South Dakota from Illinois to see the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, and the Wind Cave National Park. We chose this property do the the view of Mt. Rushmore off the back deck as well as the modern look on the inside We made the trip at the right time as there were very few tourists and the weather was low 70s everyday. We hiked up Black Elk Peak after visiting Mt. Rushmore. The scenery is breath taking. The owners were very nice and helpful. I am so glad we made the trip.
