"Unfortunately what I thought were stains in the bathroom turned out to be dirt. Not just a little dirt, ground in over the entire bathroom floor. The hand towel i used to mop up the water that splashed out of the shower literally turned black. When I wiped water off the bathroom countertop i got dirt from the sink edge. Now horrified, I though, what if that stain on the toilet seat is not a stain? My answer was a resounding NO it is not a stain! The toilet did have a paper announcing "Sanitized". I am very doubtful someone even wiped the bathroom let alone sterilized it. After leaving a message for someone to come clean, house keeping did come. I was told to go speak with the manager who apologized profusely and was given two 5$ gift cards for Tim Hortons. I was informed that a staff member had been staying in that room and the regular cleaning staff had missed that room. I told her what i wanted was a credit for my room. She said she couldn't do that but would speak to the owner. I was offered a different room, but for personal reasons, moving my stuff did not appeal to me. My fault for not choosing the option of moving because my towel used to mop up water next morning was still not perfectly white after getting out of shower. I am not picky and I could accept left over tape on walls, missing baseboards, stains on carpet...I mean it's a college dorm room, but the uncleanness was absolutely unacceptable and the compensation offered was a joke!"
"What I liked about the property? Was the room it was clean, minus the vent in the bathroom, which had a lot of dust and didn't help my allergies. The pool was very clean.\n Those were the only 2 things I liked about that hotel.\n The staff wasn't the greatest pretty snooty. The cook would handle things with her gloves and not change them. And still touch food, there was food that was dated a week prior to my arrival and she wanted to serve that there was a lot of security there. Because there was a lot of people that were considered rescues so they were staying in the hotel as well, but making a lot of noise throughout the night slamming doors lot of drunk people yelling at us. Etc... Found hair in my food.\n It was just an awful experience all over. I know one thing for sure that my stay. There is definitely the last day. If you're going to have people stay there as rescues, they shall all be on the same floor not with the people that are actually paying for the hotel stay It was ridiculous having breakfast with 3 or 4 security guards sitting and just chit chatting and playing on their phone.\nThat's my stance on that stay , and I don't care what anybody else has to say this was my experience."
"From the amount of hair all over my room to the place obviously not being dusted. This was a brutal stay and the place is just run down.
Timmins is a rough town but wowsers this place was the worst I have ever stayed.
I hope the owners decide to put some love into the place."
