A lovely last minute stay. We were welcomed by the reception staff who explained the room and meal options. We opted for the dinner bed and breakfast together with lunch and all meals were freshly cooked and lovely. The room was tastefully furnished with a comfortable super king bed. Great bath with shower over. Will definitely stay again when out Leicestershire way.

Was a beautiful stay, we had Miss Thornhill bedroom and it was perfect!! The only problem was the pool closing so early! Not enough time to enjoy if your their one night

Slightly underwhelmed
Beautiful exterior and grounds. Service left a lot to be desired, amenities in the room don’t live up to the premium price tag, could do with upgrading the TV’s adding in a coffee machine & bigger beds than standard doubles. Room service never arrived after an hour, we only ordered a bottle of wine & some olives. Spa staff & facilities are good, Gym could do with a squat rack / smith machine Could be very good just needs better staffing standards & a bit of investment.

The very disappointing attitude of just one member of staff totally spoilt the little break and I could not and would not recommend this establishment in case the same thing happened in the future.

I stayed there for my 35th wedding anniversary and we received a special card from the staff wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Really great service, great facilities and the good weather helped.

Not worth the money we spent £310 for 1 night room only. Service very slow, curtains were ripped, couldn’t see the tele when in bed, thick dust on top of headboard, needs a coat of paint. And no minibar. Or fresh milk for tea. Very tired rooms.

Very small bedroom with low ceilings, lacks maintenance, loved the bathroom especially the shower, weird old fashioned toilet flusher. Comfortable bed, but 200£ a night is way over the roof. Beautiful and well cared gardens. Wildlife gives it a especial feeling. Friendly and helpfull staff overall. Room service lacks experience and professionalism, cant expect much more from young / underage teenagers, average quality food with extremelly long wait time, lack communication and information, overpriced meals, 10£ charge per tray is ridiculous, considering drinks arrive spilled all over, better to place some paper lids on top, more hygienic too, incomplete set of cutlery, a single charge per service would be more suitable. Overall not a very good experience, so not slightly interested on going back I'm sory.
