December getaway

Had a week in lovely Keswick & stayed at the beautiful Bridge Mews. The cottage was spotlessly clean, really comfortable & surprisingly spacious for two adults. Particularly loved the underfloor heating which was lovely to walk into after a day on the fells. The kitchen had great appliances & everything you need should you wish to cook. The added bonus of an allocated parking space was a winner. Would highly recommend & we’d definitely stay again. This was our third time booking through Keswick Cottages & it was good to know we could contact them if we needed to.

We have stayed here several times in the past

We have stayed here several times in the past and expect to do again in the future. An outstanding feature is its position, being only a few minutes walk from the bus station, supermarkets and Keswick centre. It is however very quiet, tucked away behind the Bridge House complex with a private parking space which is easily accessible. Comfort and condition are good, especially the on-suit bathroom. However the living area features a large wall mounted clock which has been temperamental in the past and has now given up working all together. It is a grand feature which should be either fixed, replaced or removed.

A lovely cottage in in te heart of Keswick

A very comfortable cottage for 2 and just a very short walk to the centre of Keswick. We have been to Bridge Mews several times previously and we are never disappointed. The bed is a super king size and very comfortable. We also enjoy having the spacious garden to sit in and read when the weather allows. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Bridge Mews

We have stayed at the Bridge Complex a few times in the past and,as usual, is very clean and comfortable, and has a lovely garden area for outdoor activities. The only complaint to make is the towel supply, how are you able to last a week’s stay on one medium and one hand towel?, luckily we ordered and paid for an extra towel pack.

Little gem situated close to facilities in Keswick. Very clean and comfortable with lovely bathroom having the benefit of separate shower as well as bath. Chair and sofa were a bit low for us but that's an age thing. Wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Great place in the heart of Keswick

We have stayed in the Bridge House complex many times before but never before in this excellent one-bedroom cottage. The complex is located right in the heart of the town and everything is superbly maintained. The cottage is spacious for two and very well equipped. The team looking after the complex are very friendly, helpful and responsive. We will certainly stay in the Mews again.

Lovely week at Bridge Mews

Bridge Mews provides dog-friendly accommodation in a great location in the centre of Keswick, just a few minutes walk to Booths supermarket and the bus station. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The shared lawned garden space and terrace were a great plus as well as the allocated parking. Keswick Cottages were very responsive to my queries before arrival. Hope to stay again soon in better weather!

Our second stay at Bridge Mews.

We love the location as very convenient for everything. Good car parking spot. Was a little concerned when we arrived as there was a group of boys and girls playing with a football on the car park. It started to rain and they soon went off. The cottage is very nice and bed very comfortable. Kitchen is ok once you have mastered the combination cooker. There were cobwebs on the skylight windows in lounge. Apart from table mats are tatty everything was ok.

Hidden gem

Had a wonderful stay at Bridge Mews. The location is spot on for stays in Keswick with everything within minutes walk. Added bonus of parking space. The cottage is cosy, with all sorts of features, and quite luxurious. Great support from Keswick Cottages, providing all the arrival details and prompt response when I had a query. Great little property which we'd love to return to and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Excellent in all ways

We have stayed here before and will be staying here again in the future. It is well equipped and well located. Our dog would probably only give it four for comfort as she struggles to come down the wooden steps from the living room to the ground floor.

Great cottage, great location

The cottage was very well equipped and warm, which was very welcome after very wet and windy days out and about. It had everything you could need so we stayed in more than we expected. Only a few minutes walk into Keswick centre and with on site parking. 2 suggestions for improvement: - a draft excluder for the bottom of the front door - as it is part of a small complex, an electric car charger would be a welcome addition for the future

Bridge Mews

A lovely property for 2 people. Very well equipped, lovely and warm, extremely comfortable all round. Excellent location too, so handy for everything. Very quiet despite being next to Booths supermarket. We have rented properties through Keswick Cottages many times. They are so easy to deal with and are as helpful as always.

Good for younger folk, but not for those with challenges.

We've stayed at this property for several years. This year will be our last. The staircase is narrow and twisty and all the shopping has to be carried up it as the living area is upstairs. The sofa is incredibly difficult to get out of once you've settled into it. The chairs at the dining table are too big for the available space and so you have to move the table back and forth to allow each person to get into the chair to sit for a meal. We've put up with this as the location is wonderful and the facilities and equipment are very good (I don't think there's anything you'd want that you wouldn't find in the kitchen) but arthritic knees are going to stop us coming again. This year reinforced the fact that this was not built (/converted) with heat waves in mind. The two skylights cannot be covered and the windows that can be opened don't provide a good cross draught. We always bring fans with us (a pedestal fan for upstairs and a large desk fan for the bedroom) and they were not enough on the first weekend of our stay, when the temperatures were 30+. The heat upstairs was almost unbearable. I do not know how someone without the forethought of bringing their own fans would have coped.

Bridge Mews

Lovely cottage in great quiet location yet just a short stroll into Keswick and to surrounding fell walks. The bed was very good and excellent en-suite facilities although the bedroom had a slight musty smell with evidence of the impact of damp on the walls. Freezer compartment contained within the fridge needed defrosting and it would have been nice to have been left some basic items such as milk.

We have been here before and will do so again

We have stayed in this property several times before and it was once again very good for our purpose of a holiday base and retreat in the Lake District. it's position is ideal for being central to all facilities and yet quiet, being tucked behind Bridge House, with it's own private parking spot. The cost is a bit on the high side for a two person accommodation, but all equipment and furnishings are of a very high standard and it all feels very comfortable
