The bungalow was lovely. Light, spacious, clean and the garden didn't disappoint - my granddaughters loved it, particularly watching the mother rabbit and her baby eating the windfall apples along with the two pheasants. It was in a great location just a couple of hundred yards or so from the Marina, for walking to Cat Bells down the road, and to the Lingham Estate where Beatrix Potter stayed on the shores of Derwent Water. The only comment would be there was no wardrobe in the second double bedroom only wall hooks and a chest of drawers. Maybe it would be better to have a smaller chest and a small wardrobe. Apart from that, attention to detail was very good, and a nice touch was the pack of cookies and two bars of Kendall Mint Cake on the hospitality tray upon arrival. Only problem with the whole holiday was the en suite shower room. the window wouldn’t open, the door was very heavy and hard to open and close and the toilet brush was disgusting. Then there was a major problem with the drains, sewage came up into the en suite shower, after reporting this to the office a plumber fixed this the same day but the shower was left filthy, I rang the office again the next day and a cleaner came to clean it. We shared the cottage with my sister and brother in law so the two shower rooms were good. A lovely 1 mile walk to Keswick and a Bus stop a few yards along the road was handy for returning with shopping .
