Incredible view with hiking trails

The house fit the 8 of us comfortably. There was a crib for our toddler. Lots of space with an incredible view. Grandson 11 yrs old had fun hiking around the property and playing the piano. We’d definitely come back. Keep in mind if you have a car that is low to the ground that there’s a dirt road off the main highway going up to the cabin. We had a truck and SUV so all was good.

Nice property but very poor management. One star overall.

The property was nice and cozy. It was in a quiet, mountain and forested area. Shortly after we arrived the water supply to the property stopped working. We worked in good faith, and demonstrated fairness, patience and cooperation to resolve the issue. We attempted to assist the host for several hours to resolve the issue guided by his instructions. We were unable to due to an electrical malfunction in the well and a drained supply tank.We ended up having to shelter for the night without water or plumbing. The family had to go outside to use the restroom. We could not shower or cook food.Repairs were made the following morning. I was told that the water supply would not return for 8-10 hours because the supply tank had to fill. The host called me and became very confrontational, making accusations in an unnecessary attempt to deflect responsibility. The host promised a full refund if we packed and vacated. We did so. Despite their promise they charged me 1000 dollars for the first night without water or plumbing. The charges have been disputed with the host with no resolve. I have filed a dispute with VRBO and the county that are being investigated. This is a deeply unfortunate and negative experience that should have been resolved in a positive way for everyone. This is a very nice property. I cannot recommend anyone rent this property due to deeply flawed management practices. Until the host's make improvements, I would warn anyone against renting this property.

The .4 mile dirt road that leads to the cabin is in desperate need of grading. A low car would probably bottom out on some of the rocks. The address, according to most GPS maps is not accurate. The exterior of the house, porches, and patios, are littered with leaves and the outside furniture is very old rickety and weathered. The period in which we stayed was excessively hot and taxed the cooling system. It uses dual systems, evaporative cooler and air-conditioning. The upstairs bedroom area and main level were very difficult to keep cool. The downstairs basement area however, was extremely nice and cool. The dishwasher did not come with detergent and the clothes washer did not have any either. There were six coffee pods for 4 people to use for 5 days. All three of those items needed to be purchased by the renter. There is a window in the kitchen area that appears to be shattered, but has not been replaced. The player piano and telescope do not work. The clothes washer appeared to have some debris in it that was embedded into the clothing.Communication with the owner was somewhat inconclusive.
