We had a magical stay amongst the serene NZ bush. It was perfectly situated to be both away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to grab a great flat white from the cafe via a gorgeous short trail walk.
As someone who finds camping challenging the glamping tent we chose was more than comfortable and cosy. The hike to Charlie’s Rock is a must do!
Absolutely amazing place wonderful views great place to meet people and very relaxing. Owners are great people as are the people who work tirelessly to make your stay special. Would highly recommend this resting place.

Relaxing
The gardens were beautiful and the lodge we stayed in was the perfect place to relax and start our holiday , the owners were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge
The pagoda lodge has an interesting history
Very good value for money
I was surprised by how few recent reviews there are of this wonderful place. I can only think that regular Kerikeri glampers are trying to keep it secret. It is in a lovely peaceful river inlet location. The quirky camping units comprise beautiful pagoda house, tents, retro caravans, some with outdoor baths (cute). They are all in their own secluded spots. Shared showers, toilets, kitchen and seating area are fine. If you can only cope with posh hotels, stay elsewhere. If we lived in NZ this would be a biannual bolt hole for us in the lovely Kerikeri township area.
Stayed in Pagoda 4 as there were 5 of us. Great host, excellent self contained 2 bed unit with couch converted to bed. Very cozy and excellent value. Really highly recommended.
We stayed in the gypsy caravan. It is very cute. The owners are very welcoming. We paid extra for the outside bath which was definately worth it. Walk to the local pubs. Would go again absolutely.
Stället har olika slag av logi. Jag bodde i en husvagn med toalett, dusch, tvättstuga och kök i en byggnad intill. Man kunde koka vatten i husvagnen, dricksvatten tillhandahölls. Fri wi-fi som fungerade inom ett begränsat område på stället. Varmvatten i duschen två timmar på morgonen och två timmar på kvällen. Stället ligger ganska vackert men avsides. Man måste ha bil. Stället är ganska speciellt.
Had friends visit from overseas & thought I would take them to this beautiful spot. I have visited Pagoda Lodge before & just love the stunning grounds & glamping is always fun!

I personally had a great time, but my parents were expecting a bit more for the luxury tents; specifically they thought the shared kitchen facility could have been cleaner. Service was great though!
We really enjoyed our stay to the Pagoda Lodge! Everything about our experience was great. The owner welcome us warmly when we arrived, and took the time to visit the facility with us. Also, he gave us an upgrade for a better room, as it was available. The place is absolutely beautiful, with the gardens and the different lodges that look like art piece. Also, the outside dinning area was awesome, we had access to a full equipped kitchen and a huge bbq, as well as a lovely terrace where we meet other people. We really had a great time! Also, in the morning, it was awesome to sit on the deck and watch the sun rise. We recommend this place!
I always wanted to stay there and I finally had a big family group of 9 that needed accommodation. Not only did they have the cheapest rate but were also in one of the most idyllic camping ground settings imaginable.
We stayed in a Gypsy caravan which was quaint and cosy with nice bedding and cute features. It had a fridge which was a bonus. The ground coffee and milk that was provided was also a bonus. It was also nice to have towels provided.
We couldn't help ourselves but use the wifi - we really shouldn't have - but it was great signal.
Showers and toilets are close by and clean. My only ask would be for 24 hour hot water. Its only available for 2 hours each morning and evening.
Otherwise we loved the gardens and the peace and serenity here. We will be back!
Great marquis by river for evening drink. Beautiful well kept grounds. Wonderful, quirky accomodation. We stayed in 2 bedroom flat and only complaint was main queen bed hard as rock and spare bed was only camp bed. Rest of flat really well presented. Will be back.
Such a beautiful backdrop of bush and river. Was such a wonderful stay to get away for the day/night and rejuvinate. We stayed in the gypsy caravan with optional outside bath and enjoyed soaking under the stars. Nice to experience somewhere that is completely different from your usual accommodation. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful place.
