"Nearby to the castle. Easy to get to from the train station. Only drawback was loud people on the streets at all hours. Very clean and had everything you needed."

Booked as a last minute shopping trip accommodation and what a pleasant surprise, hotel was lovely and every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, we went for a special menu at night and had a fantastic meal , Will certainly go back

On the online booking form we requested a quiet room on the top floor and that is exactly what we got plus the added bonus of a lovely view of the abbey and other historic buildings. The hotel is located well away from the main road so no traffic noise. We had a meal in the bistro which had a good variety on the menu, all reasonably priced as were the drinks. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We didn't have breakfast but were told by other guests that it was excellent. I would recommend this...

Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price.
Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?)
If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St.
We'll stay here again. Loved it.

We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. The staff were so helpful and very welcoming.
You helped make my husbands birthday treat a very special memory.
Thank you !

Lovely stay . Friendly staff. Plenty of free parking . Quiet and nice rooms . Big spacious room and toilet. Need little improvement while re-servicing the room as my room supplies were not properly re-stocked and replaced. Overall good experience

This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Edinburgh. The tram station is right outside and only 20 mins ins. We drove and parking was straight forward albeit chargeable at £8 per day. The pool was a real added bonus for our kids after a long day of tourism.
Only slight issue for me is our kids are getting older and Novotels concept of a "family" room is starting to look less desirable than the Premier Inns as the sofa bed is tight. There is enough room for these to be slightly...

Wonderful stylish hotel just opened so very clean and fresh. My room was an apartment with kitchenette (I don't think there is a dining room), high quality spacious bathroom and very high speed WiFi. Staff pleasant, location central and good bar/cafe area. I wanted to stay longer and will definitely stay next time.

Hotel and Spa staff were very welcoming and helpful. Chef was amazing cooked a special vegan meal for my daughter each night we ate in hotel, as there was nothing suitable for her on menu.
Room was comfortable and we had everything we required (only feedback I would give is that it would have been more useful to have a couple more sockets available). Loved the spa and we were very happy with the treatments we had. We also enjoyed the pool facilities (hydro, sauna and steam). The surroundings...

I have never stayed at this hotel before and I will 100% be returning. Super clean, fantastic finish and the bed sheets were so soft! Couldn’t fault a single thing. We stayed on a Saturday night (on floor 9) and you could hear a tiny bit of noise from local streets but did not disturb our sleep one bit. All staff were super friendly too. Fab location too. Thank you so much.

It was absolutely lovely! Very close to Edinburgh Waverley and some lovely restaurants. Calton Hill is right next door as well. The front desk staff was very helpful, and the room was plush and clean. We wish we could stay longer!

Kelty is notable for landmarks like Inchcolm Abbey. The picturesque setting of Yellowscott Country Park and Lochore Meadows Country Park exemplify the area's natural beauty. In the area, you'll also find Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile.
What is a historic hotel like in Kelty?
A historic hotel gives guests an opportunity to stay in a building officially recognised with a historic designation. Around the world, historic hotels come in all forms like castles, palaces, grand homes or even old police stations, pubs, lodges or skyscrapers — any building that’s been identified as being of special interest. Historic hotels in Kelty usually retain authentic elements such as period features or traditional architecture in their public spaces or guestrooms.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. The term “historic hotel” is more common in the U.S., while you'll often hear "heritage hotel" in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to focus on the building and architecture itself. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the cultural value that the place has and how it shaped the community.

In Kelty, booking a historic hotel doesn't mean you're picking a place that's uncomfortable for guests or simply rundown.
