"Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views. Owner was really friendly checking we’d settled in ok. Great location (as long as you have car) to get to nearby towns and attractions. Shame there wasn’t a pub within walking distance (as the road was too risky to walk on at night), however, the food and staff at the local pub in Yetholm (approx 1.5mile) were lovely and welcoming and food great! The only criticism I’d have of the cottage is that the bathroom and some decor could do with updating, however...

"Lovely clean property, slept 5 people, very warm and cosy in a lovely quiet location on a working farm. Had everything we needed and more, owner was very helpful and generous. Great lication for waljs and visiting surrounding areas within short distances to travel."

"Location excellent Parking no problem just outside front door Accommodation ideal for our purposes Bed and seating very comfortable"

"This is a well positioned house, just off the high street and right by the river and the new river walk. We couldn't fault it in any way. Spotlessly clean, comfy, small patio area to sit outside, friendly neighbours, easy access to the other border towns. Many thanks."

"Enjoyable holiday. Family liked it. Possibly could do with internet like WI-FI. Phone signal was intermittent and made it hard to search things in the area"

"Great place. Location is perfect and it is quite well maintained."

"Lovely, comfortable cottage, beautifully dressed for Christmas. Great responsive and helpful host. We had a wonderful time."

"Beautiful and well-appointed property. We were very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Lovely details have been added to this renovation. The surrounding land, access to beach, and peacefulness added to the enjoyment of our stay. "

"Lovely cottage, super clean and beautifully renovated. We really appreciated the crisps and dog treats :) Parking right outside was handy. Beautiful log burner for a cosy night. Beds were super comfy. My daughter loved the smart-tech in the bathroom showing how much her shower cost. A bit tricky with our 4-legged friends. Stairs too steep for our small dogs, but we barricaded the bottom with our suitcases ok. We were expecting a Deck/Patio as listed but its an open area down some stone steps,...

"Great location, very clean. Comfortable. Be prepared to deal with 31 steps."

"Very clean and had most things we needed. Bed was really comfy and the view was beautiful. Only slight issue was that the underfloor heating was quite noisy, especially at night but it didn’t really affect our stay, just took a while to get used to."

"The cottage was first class, clean, spotless and really comfortable. It offered really easy access to local holiday locations, we loved the wildlife and the lical farm animals"

"Beautiful cottage , very peaceful with great views . In a more remote setting away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, about 30 minutes drive from Alnwick to stock up with provisions."

"My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at Cygnet Cottage, using it as a base to explore the Northumberland Coast and local area. This particular accommodation is ideal for a couple. The living area is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen equipment all worked fine and there was an adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, and tools. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable with a decent, electric, shower. Upstairs was the bedroom with good storage facilities and a comfortable double bed...
