"Shocking! From checking in to be told i was going to have to pay an extra £20 for the room ! And no breakfast included ! ( I wouldn’t have wanted to eat anything from there) but that wasn’t the point. The place was smelly and dirty. I will never book with this site again. "

Boutique Country House BandB

3.5 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (3)
"Caroline and Maurice run a beautiful B&B. The place was spotlessly clean and everything was just perfect as a base to visit our relatives in Belfast, Larne & Bellaghy. They even said that we could bring a take away in with us and eat it in the Breakfast Room with their plates and cutlery. We will definitely be coming back here again the next time we come to Northern Ireland."

Frequently asked questions

What is the nightly rate for a Bed & Breakfast in Kells?
Prices for B&Bs in Kells often vary, but you can find a great deal from £77 with Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as location and the time of year. It usually costs more to stay at Kells B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a B&B in Kells?
The best time to book a B&B in Kells is during the late spring to early summer months of May and June. This period is particularly popular among travellers seeking to explore the picturesque countryside and rich historical sites, as the weather is pleasantly mild, with average temperatures reaching the low 20s Celsius. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through the stunning landscapes, discovering Kells’ famous round tower and the ancient high crosses that dot the area.

As the peak tourist season approaches, particularly in July and August, the vibrant local festivals and events draw in larger crowds, creating a lively atmosphere. This is an excellent time for those who appreciate a bustling environment and wish to engage with fellow travellers, but the influx can sometimes make accommodation a bit more challenging to secure.

For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, consider visiting in late autumn, around November. This month offers a quieter experience, allowing you to take in the serene beauty of the area without the rush of peak tourist activity. The autumn hues create a stunning backdrop for scenic walks, and you might even enjoy some local events as the community prepares for winter festivities.
What is the difference between a Kells B&B and a hotel?
Every Kells B&B has its own unique feel. Whether it’s a cozy reading space or a sunlit breakfast nook to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, the quaint details are what make bed and breakfasts a home away from home. Travelers can look forward to personal touches, thoughtful amenities and of course a scrumptious breakfast at Kells B&Bs.
