No smoking.. Holme House Cottage is a beautiful 17th century stone built detached cottage close to the village of Oakworth and two miles from Haworth. Holme House Cottage has been lovingly restored to provide a cosy and homely stay. The cottage has so much character, a beautiful mature garden and patio to enjoy the views. The cottage stands as a two-story structure, its compact size adding to the cozy and intimate atmosphere. The roof is pitched with wooden beams and covered in thatch, a traditional roofing material of the time, giving the cottage a quintessential and timeless appearance.
Entering the property, you are greeted by a warm and cosy sitting room with a beautiful wooden floor and comfortable furnishings, creating an ideal room to relax and unwind after a long day exploring the area. Wander through to the kitchen and diner where you can find a fully fitted kitchen with everything you need throughout your time in this holiday let. Everything for you to whip up those home cooked meals or why not venture out to a local restaurant or takeaway. Upstairs, the charming double bedroom boasts a delightful French bed, the single room is equally comfortable, and both rooms are served by a family bathroom. In a wonderful setting, with views of the surrounding open meadows and horses grazing in the nearby farm, everything is close to hand, including a lovely country pup, this is a perfect setting to enjoy Dale’s life at its very best. Outside, through the rear porch, there is a beautiful rear garden with patio area and mature gardens overlooking the brook and surrounding meadows. There is a 3 acre dog exercise field behind the property which can be used during your stay, by arrangement with the owner. If the weather is bad, there is an indoor riding arena on site, which can also be used for your dogs to exercise in, if arranged with the owner.
The village of Oakworth itself adds to the overall appeal of the location, with its quaint charm and friendly community. Strolling through the cobbled streets or taking a leisurely walk in the nearby countryside provides a serene and relaxing experience. With numerous walks from the doorstep, including one that takes you to the nearby pup with its own well-known brewery, walks across meadowland and woodland. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets and medieval castle, offering access to the Yorkshire Dales, whilst the Victorian spa town of Harrogate boasts fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and Harlow Carr gardens. A perfect retreat at any time of year.
