Coming from the USA, we wanted to enjoy a traditional accommodation. This resort had everything we were looking for: Japanese style room, bedrock sauna, private onsen bath, gendered public onsen bath and an onsen pool. It is a small resort with only 8 rooms, which makes for a very personalized experience. When we arrived the staff was incredibly friendly. We didn’t book any meals with our reservation but was easily able to add it on at check-in due to them having extra space. The property itself is nestled near the mountains and a train track, which provided a serene environment. The train was not loud at all and was short. We booked this property because of its proximity to the Kawazu Seven falls and the Amagiso Onsen.
