The property is suitable for up to 4 adults to stay and is not suitable for children over the age of 18 months when they are air the crawling and climbing stay, not it is suitable for anyone under the age of 18 years of age. FIREPLACES: The fireplaces on the property have been decommission, so are therefore unusable (NOT TO BE USED) as per requirements of the insurance of a heritage property. The property is furnished to a high standard in a traditional manner suitable to a house of it’s era and also retains many of it original features, including it’s 11 foot high pressed metal Wunderlich ceilings in most of the rooms and Kauri Pine floorboards throughout. Burnie Brae (circa 1908) is set amidst a leafy established garden, in a quiet historic precinct of the township and is within easy walking distance of the local main street with it’s shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. A short and easy drive away is the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, with all its natural beauty and various attractions just waiting for you to explore. The house is centrally heated and offers a very comfortable environment for those wanting space. As well as the formal lounge and dining rooms, there is a spacious country kitchen complete with a dishwasher. The bathroom has a relaxing double shower and the bedroom comes complete with a queen size bed to relax in, at the end of a fantastic day. Burnie Brae (circa 1908) is your home away from home and is available to couples seeking a romantic getaway from that busy city life. Note: The property is only suitable for up to one two adult couples to stay at a time and is a non smoking and pet free environment, and is not suitable for children. under the age of 18. Unfortunately the fireplaces in the house are not working and have been decommissioned, as they are not covered by our insurance and any use or attempt to use them is in breach of the insurance and it is thereby cancelled. Burnie brae is truly the perfect location, it’s a very short walk to bars ,supermarket and restaurants and an evening cocktail at the Carrington . The property is lovely and very comfortable. A central Place to stay. The gardens are beautiful. The kitchen is as perfect as the pictures beautiful to cook in too. There is anything you really need to pack other than a quick stop at the shop for food. The beds were amazing. We all slept so well. Explored the mountains with some friends and retired to such a comfy home, filled with antiques and memories of the past. Set in a great location, an easy walk into town, a very romantic double shower, the kitchen was remarkable, this house was so warm and comfortable, so many teas to choose from, and Tim tams in the kitchen was an oh so lovely touch. Katoomba centre and Dan Murphy’s are within walking distance, as are Restaurants, Cafes, Big W, Woolworths, and Aldi are also close by. If you’re planning on purchasing a lot of groceries, it maybe best to take your car. I particularly liked that this home is in a very quiet neighbourhood, have not slept this well in a long time. The bathroom is fabulous. The kitchen is huge and has a very usable gas cook top plus oven. The bedrooms divine with very comfortable beds. The lounge is luxurious. The formal dining room exquisite (although we didn't use it but ate in the kitchen). Beautiful, well kept and interesting gardens. An easy walk from the house through to the main street. The place was immaculate, warm, comfortable, all amenities easy to use making our experience hassel free and enjoyable. Upon leaving we noticed we had a flat tyre. It was cold, raining and miserable. We called the owner asking if we could go back into the property for warmth whilst waiting for NRMA. He was so hospitable, allowing us to re enter and keep warm for as long as we needed.
