We arrived at the Kantipur Temple after having roughed it for a week, and were greeted by an incredibly warm and professional staff and an architecturally exquisite building and grounds. The rooms vary greatly in size and detail, so ask for one facing the inner courtyard. Fast internet, warm (hot) showers, nightly turn-down service complete with water bottles, electric matress pad covers, and darling brass water pitchers with matching (very local) cups next to the beds. And on top of everything else, the restaurant is spectacular. Seriously, the food is first class. Don't even bother going out to find something "local" because the hotel restaurant is 5-star, Newali food at incrediblly low prices. In every aspect, this hotel is an oasis in crazy Kathmandu. It's a gem.
