Casey’s Bear Den is a cozy cabin near Johnson Lake and the Kasilof River

  • Casey’s Bear Den is a cozy cabin perfect for a couple wanting to spend time close to rivers, lakes, and the Kasilof Beach. This cabin has a queen bed, private bathroom with shower, a microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge, and coffee pot. All linens are provided and we even supply shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It’s located off Crooked Creek Road in Kasilof/Cohoe. It’s a 2-3 minute walk to Johnson Lake and 2 miles from the Kasilof River. There are also RV spaces for rent for those traveling with a group. There is a building with showers and laundry. We have a gift shop filled with snacks, drinks, fishing gear, P & K Anglers Retreat T-shirts and hats and Alaska gifts. Barbecue grills and fire pits are provided.

We loved this property!

We enjoyed this weekend! It was a beautiful cabin and the proximity to restaurants, fishing, beachcombing, made it worth the stay, we will book again! :) Thank you so much for making this stay wonderful and the peace and quiet was well worth it.

This cabin is small but had everything one needs to be comfortable. They had a fish cleaning station and the Kelly and Pat were friendly and helpful.

Great cozy cabin in the woods

The bear den was just what we were looking for to stay in the woods!! We spent most of our time out fishing (successfully) but it was cozy and clean and had everything we needed. Thanks to Pat and Kelly!! We will be back next year!

Quick two night stay

I stayed at this place for two nights as a gap measure since my group arrived before I did and therefore left before I did. Everything was great! Place was clean and everything worked as intended.The pre arrival communication was superb and support while on-site was great. The only hiccup was the code I was provided to open the door did not work but they were able to rectify the issue in under 5 minutes. Would definitely stay at this place again as the location was great, the hosts were great, and it was exactly as advertised.

Great Experience

This cabin was exactly as advertised and perfect for what we needed. The listing had stated that the entire site was still under construction, but our cabin was easily accessible and had everything we needed. The space was small but cozy and well equipped with supplies for sleeping, showering and having a light breakfast before heading out for the day. We weren't around in the evenings to take advantage of the fire pit outside the cabin, but it looked inviting. This is a great value for singles or couples looking for a place to stay while exploring the area.

We loved this place and the fishing nearby

This was a quaint little cabin and we loved it. It was perfect for a 1 night stay but wished we could have stayed longer and spent more time in the area. I would highly recommend!
