"The location is amazing and the views of the water are exceptional! Two ladies at the front desk (Fukuhara and maebara) were extremely helpful to my friend and me to help us with making plans and working out the logistics. I loved this place and will definitely stay here again when I come through. Onomichi is charming !"

"Beautiful property staffed by efficient, knowledgeable and kind staff. The location is at the edge of and perfectly placed for walking/exploring the narrow alleys and walkways of the historical district, but for easy arrival/departure adjacent to main roadways. Kurashiki's historical district is one of the most attractive old towns in Japan, I think. Well worth the visit."

"Kotohira Onsen Onyado Shikishimakan was 1 of about 8 hotels we stayed at over about 2 weeks in Japan. While all the places we stayed were good, this was the best. Their onsen is outstanding as were the meals. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience the Real Japan!"
