Hotel has a good restaurant at the front providing tasty meals . The area is a good diving and snorkeling place but unfortunately like the rest of the island it is covered in plastic bags and other plastic waste which is fast making the island a unattractive place . I have found this all over asia it is a very serious problem That i hope will be addressed sooner rather than later . Völlig unkompliziertes ausleihen des Mopeds vom Personal für max 5€ am Tag. Wish we had booked a longer stay, but we were just passing through as we headed to the Gili Islands. Did seem to be a little away from all the big restaurants, but in all honestly, we didn't get a chance to explore the area much. Do yourself a favour and spend the money for air conditioning. It is far too hot without it. Cons - host 'forgot' our first night and sent us to hid neighbors place, which was clearly lower quality. Parking a car is nightmare. Pros - good wifi with 10mbps downstream. Very nice view to Java sea. I had to leave the doors open for a few minutes before I could even enter the room. The toilet wasn't very clean and there was no warm water in the shower which would have been pleasant since the most popular activity in the Amed area is diving and it would have been nice to finish the day off with a nice warm shower. The aircondition made a lot of noise and seemed to have two options, on or off, which made it either very hot or very cold during the night. The bed wasn't too comfortable either I'm afraid, a bit too firm. If you don't have your own transportation I suggest booking a hotel closer to Amed and the dive shops since there isn't much to see within walking distance here.
