Wonderful corner unit overlooking the ocean, the Kapa’a beach trail and palm trees. The condo is perfectly equipped, including extras like beach chairs. The property has all the technology and entertainment that one needs. My only recommendation is that it was not thoroughly clean when I arrived. Overall, it looked good but once I looked into the corners and the floor, I could see that they were not touched. I also had to call maintenance to fix the screen door because it was almost impossible to move. That should’ve been checked before I arrived other than that it was an outstanding stay at a very good property. ##### Mel J. If you like the ocean this condo is the place to be! We liked that the condo was an end unit on the third floor, so no disturbances from neighbors. The Pono Kai Resort is very clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free coffee in the reception area, the putting greens, the gym, and the pool area. Being so close to downtown Kapa’a was fun and very convenient. We rented bikes and rode the entire length of the bike path, which was in good shape. The only reason that we didn’t give 5 stars was because some parts of the condo were not very clean and felt a bit run down. The bathroom cabinet is cracked, and the paintwork around the front door handle looks like it has not been cleaned in ages. The floor behind the bed is very dusty.
