The unit was even better than expected with plenty of A/C, an amazing view of the beach, and the beach access itself. The resort is older with a tiny pool and the beach is narrow during low tide covered at high tide and full of debris. We drove off site for swimming. Check in was a breeze and pretty straight forward. The view from the room was also very spectacular, you get to wake up to the beach. The room + living space has everything you need, almost like having a home away from home. 90% of the time we were always out and about, this stay served it’s purpose and beyond. Kapaa is perfectly located on the island for travel north, south and west. The 3rd floor unit is right on the beach. Nicely furnished with tile floors throughout. Pono Kai is condo type developement with 10 buildings. This unit is in an excellent location on the third floor near the beach. The unit is extremely well out fitted and easily the best of the three units that my family rented. Kapaa is a short walk away.
