The front porch of Sunrise Cottage is a favorite spot for watching the ocean's changing moods (and whales during winter months). A blend of east coast Cape Cod and early Hawaiian-style homes, our vintage cottages are spacious and light with simple furnishings - everything you will need for a relaxing, rejuvenating Kauai get-away. PROPERTY DETAILS THE INTERIOR: French doors and large picture windows in the living/dining room of the main house afford panoramic ocean views. Two of the three bedrooms have queen-size beds and the same unforgettable ocean view. The third bedroom, furnished with two twin beds (optional King upon request), is a quiet retreat. Sunrise Cottage comfortably accommodates up to six people. NEED MORE ROOM?? Add Moonrise Guest Cottage for another bedroom and bath to accommodate up to 2 more people, a total of up to 8 in both cottages (4 bedrooms/3 baths). Please contact me if you would like to include the guest cottage in your reservation and I will add it to your invoice to cover the rental fees ($1400 per week), taxes and cleaning ($250). A spacious food prep area (with refrigerator/freezer, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, microwave) is perfect for simple meals, along with the large outdoor stainless steel grill. The beautifully remodeled kitchen of the main house offers gourmet cooks as well as microwavers a spectacular oceanview. The stainless steel countertop, pebble tile floor, and glassfront cabinets are reminiscent of vintage cottage decor. The upgraded appliances and granite-topped peninsula make it a cook's dream. Both cottages are equipped with WiFi, flat-screen Smart TV and DVD player, all linens including beach towels, ceiling fans, down and faux-down bed pillows. THE PATH: An exciting feature is the Seaside Walking and Biking Path that runs along the ocean, right past the property. Early morning sunrise on the porch was the most relaxing of our vacation. Centrally located in Kapa’a we had easy access to the North Shore and west to the Na Pali coastline. The cottage and properly was clean and all the amenities were provided. We loved our stay and would recommend the cottage to our friends and family. The home is so comfortable and decorated so well. The view was gorgeous. We spent hours on the front porch watching the waves roll in and seeing whales. The location is excellent being close to town, the walking/biking path and restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful as was their daughter/manager Jessica. Wonderful home. Great location, great hosts. Perfect for the children to run around on the lawn. All 5 family members thought the house was perfect for our needs, was centrally located in Kapa'a, was very close to the ocean and had a nice walking path. Our property manager was responsive to our needs and even offered to dry our clothes when the dryer had issues (issues solved). We would go back. ##### Greg K. There were 6 of us so it was the perfect size. The location was great...right on the ocean, walking distance to the cute downtown area of Kapaa for shopping and restaurants. Also close to the grocery store. Since it was our first trip to Kauai we wanted to stay in Kapaa for our home base to get around the island easily and it worked out great. The house was very clean and included many amenities. We loved having the boogie boards available to use at the beach! We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this place! ##### Katie M. Wonderful to sit out on the porch and look at the amazing ocean. The only thing that was surprising was the number of ants and cockroaches. We followed all of the recommendations of keeping food in Ziploc bags and taking out the trash regularly. We made sure and not leaving anything out they could get into. Might want to provide bait and bug spray or possibly have the home sprayed before guests arrive. Additionally, the front door lock was quite a challenge. The owner was very responsive regarding this and was kind enough to send someone out to look at it, but even after that it never comfortably locked.
