Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' This beautiful studio is right on the beach – walk right out from the back lanai any time and enjoy the beach and crashing surf! Watch gorgeous sunrises and keep an eye out for the Nai'a, honu, and koloha (dolphins, turtles, and whales) as they cruise by. Spend time out exploring the area or curl up with a good book while listening to the soothing sound of the surf. This ground-floor studio offers easy lawn and beach access. This retreat is part of a small, oceanfront complex located on the east shore of Kauai known for its vintage Hawaiian charm. Built on the grounds of a former Shinto Temple, there are only 24 units in the entire complex. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday. All of the retreats in this complex have well-provisioned kitchens to help keep meal costs down while vacationing. Laundry facilities are located on the property for your convenience. Dining, shopping, and a weekly farmer’s market a block away. Enjoy swimming at Lydgate Beach Park – Morgan Ponds (two man-made ocean ponds), kayaking on the Wailua River, or hiking the Sleeping Giant. All of these activities are less than a five-minute drive from Kapa’a Sands. THINGS TO KNOW This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning. This property is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 1. Small but great for two people. We didn’t spend a lot of time in there. Ice, chest towels, snorkel, beautiful sunsets and sunrises provided. The only thing I missed wasn’t air conditioning. The unit was easy to access from the parking lot, the check in process was smooth, and unit had plenty of basic amenities to get you started (e.g., coffee, filters, salt/pepper/oil, cleaning products, bathroom supplies). We really appreciated the additional touches of having beach chairs and a cooler, as well as a first aid kit! The oceanfront location of the unit is a big plus--you can keep the screens open and listen to the waves all night. You can walk right out to the small but wonderful beach at the end of the stairs and enjoy the sunrise and sunset from there. It has enough sandy areas in the water that you can enjoy swimming or cooling off in the water, but not necessarily one to snorkel in. Overall, a wonderful spot to relax in.Also, the unit is very close to restaurants like a local favorite Kintaro and a local brewing company restaurant--both of which we enjoyed. The location is convenient also for traveling around the island. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to finding a way to return here again. Mahalo! ##### Carolyn R. Somehow we missed that on the listing or it wasn’t stated. It’s TINY. It’s a studio. The bed could be lifted and put in the wall. The view though doesn’t get any better!!!! Love that there were no additional fees!! We LOVED the roosters lol. It’s a short walk to LAVA LAVA for food and drinks on the beach and it was fantastic food. Definitely stay again. I wasn't sure at booking whether there would be a road or walking/biking trail between the unit and the water and we were happy to find that there is just a small lawn and then a flight of stairs to get to the water. The unit is a smaller studio but does have a well stocked kitchen and we were able to easily cook. The location is fantastic and the unit was very clean.
