No microwave or safe in the room. Television didn’t work. (No signal.) Maintenance fixed it. The next morning-same problem. Hotel said it didn’t have my Expedia reservation—Even though I had my confirmation and payment receipt. Front desk staff told me to “Have a seat -This would take a while.” They did finally get me a room. Not a great start after a long travel day. But, hotel was fine. Great area-Well lit -Felt safe. Loved the fact that they accommodated dogs. Not an auspicious start, but I would stay there again.

The location was convenient for visiting Kansas City Stadium, and it was also easy to get to the hotel from the airport thanks to the free shuttle bus that stops nearby. As you would expect from a Marriott, the hotel was nice overall. Although I didn't dine there, the restaurant looked inviting, and having a Starbucks in the lobby was a nice touch. It was a comfortable place to relax. My biggest disappointment was that I was given a different room type from the one I had booked. There was no explanation or apology from the front desk, which left me with a poor impression of the service. Overall, the hotel itself was good, but because of the room issue and the way it was handled, I don't think I would choose to stay here again.
